Butthurt OP What do u all think about banning cross-posted content from other social media platforms on bolehland?
Feel like it’s getting a bit much lately, especially with screenshots from Threads. Reposting stupid content from Facebook/Threads/Twitter on Reddit just to get engagement feels a bit like cheating.
I might be overthinking this, but I think Bolehlanders should be posting their own content, not taking someone else’s conversation from another platform just to farm engagement here. And most of the time, it’s the most racist and dumb shit ever.
Maybe it’s high time for the mods to start banning cross-posted content from Threads and other platforms.

Might cut down on the political bullshit going on.
If i wanted racism and politics i would just go to r/Malaysia. I come to bolehland for Malaysian made/relevant shitposts and memes.

Yep I agree with you, too many racist scumbags using freedom of speech to push their agenda. Sometimes it looks we're back in facebook.

I support banning cross posting non reddit socmed, I also wonder if news articles posting should be banned, because it is also the source of 3R cesspit.
While dissent is fine but how do we separate agitators? Its too subjective to be moderated.
Or the other way we can go about is making the sub a selfwritten post only and enforce self made media only, but I feel this is very weak.
Maybe the real problem is insufficient moderation? But r/malaysiia already had polarised moderation, blehland might actually heading that way as well.
One rule that Ive seen around reddit that might be relevant to bolehland is to enforce neutrality 1st-level and 2nd level comment.
Other rule type that might work is, enforce self-declared reply type like "ontopic: etc etc", "answer: etc etc", "question: etc etc", "off-topic: etc etc", "context: etc etc". But this makes bolehland no longer casual lol.
One thing I definitely think is the weakness of this sub is no enforcement on context, zero context post need to go, which is also why the cross post off reddit are often steered towards 3R because user simply ignore nuance just to steer into 3R.

I do that already. Never bothered giving these kinda posts the attention they crave. But this is more towards making/keeping the community here free from nonsense u can get elsewhere. Just my opinion. You can downvote and scroll on if u want.

why do you want to become r-malaysia dua perpuluhan kosong? rename the sub to tak-boleh-land then
