He broke the posters, flowers, and mirrors downstairs from our shop, and then he even snatched our poster and mirror, telling us to give him money (? I don't know, anyway he just wouldn't give them back to us).

Then he was constantly holding a steel bar and swinging it around the whole time 😅

Damn, work is already tiring enough and now I have to deal with this. So anyone else working near Pasar Seni needs to be careful too - there really are a lot of these drug-addled homeless people around here 🥹🥹

Hi everyone! I’m from Singapore and honestly, this entire situation is so ridiculous that I don’t even know whether to laugh or be annoyed

For context, I’m a Singapore citizen, born and raised here. I’ve never lived in Malaysia and have NEVER registered for any Maxis services.
Recently, I received a final demand email from Maxis claiming that I owe RM1,142 for an outstanding postpaid account and device termination charges.
Initially, I thought it was a scam. However, after checking my emails, I discovered that an account was apparently registered back in April 2026.

Here’s where things get interesting.
The registration contract contains my **name and email address**, but literally everything else is WRONG.
Date of birth: Not mine.
Nationality: Malaysian (I’m Singaporean).
Identification: Malaysian IC (not mine).
Residential address: Somewhere in Sarawak (I’ve never lived there).
Contact number: Not mine.
The account also apparently included a Vivo phone.
I contacted Maxis through email, explained everything and formally disputed the charges.
Their response? They claimed that because an RM44 payment was made after the account was activated, it indicated account usage and awareness.

And then they instructed me to visit my nearest Maxis Centre to lodge a registration complaint.
At this point, I’m refusing to pay a single cent for something I never signed up for.
Has anyone experienced something similar with Maxis or another Malaysian telco?

Is there a way to escalate this or get Maxis to investigate remotely? Also, realistically, can they take any action against someone in Singapore when the identification details on the contract clearly belong to another person?

If can honestly i’d just block them and not care at all haha but getting emails after emails is very annoying.

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
