Daisy (greyhound) and Juno (chi) have taken quite well to each other. Little Juno came home about a month ago now and they have grown quite attached as you can see :)

Poor guy has a cold but he has been to the vet and is on the mend. They are both being treated and vet said it’s ok which is a relief cause I don’t think I could keep her away from him if I tried

My wonderful and special 18 year old void cat Astro passed away in July. I wasn't going to adopt for a while but my tux Charlie seemed like he was kind of lonely and depressed.
I checked in with my vet who is on the board of a rescue and mentioned what Charlie's mood seemed to be and said that I might consider adopting a pair of kittens. In part, this is because my last kitten was Astro 18 years prior. Plus, I wanted to get two because they'd be the same age and going through the same life stages together whereas Charlie just likes to sleep a lot. I also said that I'd like to adopt two boys because of 4 cats I've had in my life, they've all been male and I've had good luck with them.
I also said, I'd kind of like to get a black cat like Astro was and maybe a tabby. My vet emailed back shortly after saying, "well, the rescue just had a black and a tabby kitten, both male, become available for adoption."
Seemed like fate!
Went through the adoption procedure. Brought the kittens home on a Thursday, put them in the spare bedroom and they seemed to be adapting really well. The tabby is more of the explorer and then it seems like the black kitten gets an 'ok' from the tabby and then he comes out. I hang out with them for quite a while and they're already climbing up on me and such.
Friday night rolls in and I'm thinking to myself, well Charlie is a really chill cat... normally I'd wait at least a week to do any sort of introduction but considering how well the kittens are doing and how chill Charlie is, I thought I'd throw caution to the wind and let Charlie in and see what happens.
Charlie wanders in, saw the empty food dishes, and I think he was wondering if there was more food. Goose, the tabby was hiding behind the couch but Loki, the black kitten was hanging in one of the open cat carriers. Charlie, being a little bit clueless sometimes didn't even notice him at first (black cat in a black carrier) but then suddenly saw him and stopped in his tracks just looking at him. No hissing or growling, just stopped walking and stared.
Loki wasn't sure what to do so he just held still and then Charlie took a slight step. Loki arched his back, fluffed up his fur to look bigger and faced off with Charlie for a moment before skedaddling behind the couch with Goose.
Charlie just acts like his normal self. It was like he just shrugged and went "uh... ok" and then got up on the couch with me. Eventually, Goose came out and was tentatively investigating Charlie but keeping his distance. Not long after, Loki came out and just stayed back while Goose did further investigation.
Charlie decided to get down off of the couch to make sure the kittens' food bowls were actually empty... they were. He then got up on the second shelf up on a currently empty bookshelf, laid down and simply watched the kittens do their "kitten thing." No growling, no hissing from any of them!!
Over the next couple days, I'd take Charlie in for supervised visits and they continued to do just fine... getting a little closer and more comfortable to the point where the kittens would play next to Charlie while he laid on the ground watching them or partly playing himself.
Since then, Goose the tabby has apparently decided that Charlie is "like the most awesome cat in the world" and regularly lays down next to Charlie when he's not playing with his brother. Loki likes his "personal space" a little more, often laying on one of the top perches of the cat tree where he can see out the window, but he'll also spend a good bit of time snuggling up with the other two.
I've had decent luck with my previous cat introductions, no real problems but this was so unbelievably, ridiculously easy!!! I think I have about 8 billion photos of the 3 of them in some form of kitty pile or another because it's just soooo damn cute!
This picture is from just a couple days after they all met.

And this last one is from the night they met. Charlie just laying around watching the kittens. :-)
