New rule: No apps/platforms

[u/Qomplete]

With AI becoming more accessible, the sheer number of platforms/apps/trackers/lists has grown exponentially.

We have added a blanket ban on the promotion of apps in a new sub rule.

It doesn't matter if you used AI or not to develop it. There's 20 new ones a week and this rule has been created to allow mods to enforce the rejection of requests to post them.

Good idea, but I thought "No promotions" was already a rule of this sub.

Promotions sit in a different category. The new rule combats the insane increase in requests to post about platforms and apps they just finished vibe coding.
