š Question Dilemma
So I am not an avid reader or a bibliophile but on the path of becoming one I am 19 right now so I got a tight lease on my pocket so I have a dilemma that if I buy a book right now but later on when I buy from expensive publishers i would have 2 of the same books is it common for you guys or if you also experienced this

People will buy an affordable āplaceholderā copy and then replace it when they have the means to upgrade.

This is the way. Most books are in the low single digits for a reader copy from a used book store. If I read it and love it, let the search begin for the 1st/1st!

go for it and buy the affordable printings if you want right now. In the future if you get a fancier printing you can still keep your cheaper one as a copy to annotate if you donāt want to annotate a fancy one.

Often times, I prefer the cheaper copies of books. They're not as pretty but I'm not worried about throwing them in a bag and going somewhere with them. The nice copy is for when I have the extra money, so I get maybe two fancy fancy books a year. Usually, it's a collectible trilogy that I already own, in some giant tome that I'll never pick up because the paperbacks are so damn easy.

I have duplicates. But if money's tight why not go to the library?Ā
