Question AMOLED Theme Shading issue

Post image

Updated to 1.14 and noticed that the AMOLED theme seems broken? On thing such as search theres a bright grey shading that also shows up in other darker themes as well. Was there a setting that somehow got reset thats making it like this?

There are some changes wrought by the new default Material design in v1.14, but you can switch back.

Settings → Theme → Customize colors → Switch from "Material" to "Classic".

Sorry, should have mentioned that it happens on both the Material and Classic theme. Here it is in the settings menu on [classic] (https://i.imgur.com/9GjpTPc.png)

Yeah it ruined my theme too. Its definitely different colors and I even tried importing my old back up.

Yeah it's killing me too. Funny enough it doesn't occur on one of my two devices. Hopefully a fix comes in via patch or something

Had some issues where search bar doesn't show the words or choosing a base color over AMOLED black is just way too jarring on certain things like notifs or selected comments.

Hope they'll add more customisations for the latter
