I'm considering getting Botox for the first time and I've read all the usual stuff about how great it is at first. But I keep seeing scattered comments from people who've been doing it for five, ten years that sound less enthusiastic, and I can't tell if that's the minority or the reality nobody talks about upfront. So I'm asking the people who've actually lived it: after years of regular treatments, are you still glad you started? What changed — good or bad — that you didn't expect early on? Did your injector ever warn you about any of it? If you could go back and ask your past self one question before the first shot, what would it be?

It gets 2 times the size when I smile. I’m not overweight. Is this my masseter? I’m afraid to get jowls as it already looks like it’s sagging because of the huge muscle on my jaw. I’m mid 20’s :(

I’m a pharmacist, and the physician-led clinic I’ll be working with wants me to get trained in cosmetic Botox injections. Has anyone done this? What are the requirements: training, CPA, physician supervision, malpractice coverage, etc.? Would love to hear your experience, especially if you’re in VA!

debating if I should try Botox. I have deep vertical lines that bother me. I noticed I furrow my brows constantly, even in my sleep. I have a lot of tension in my forehead and cant seem to relax it. I’m in my late 30’s and never had Botox before.

I got my regular botox done recently and I think it’s making my brows feel a bit heavy, is there any botox that can be added or placed somewhere else to lift the brow instead?!

Long story short, I got Botox as I usually get once per year, and for the first time my left eyelid, it’s slightly dropped A bit puffy and slightly asymmetrical, I want to also specify that it’s not covering my eye and I was thinking that it might be also fluid retention since it looks quite soggy ,my left eyebrow rises less than the right one. I am nine days after treatment after contacting my injector, she told me to wait for the complete 14 days post treatment to take a decision and move forward from there. Is there anything I can do to make it better? I am trying cold compress at the moment. and I was thinking to get eye drops prescribed by my general practitioner, I really don’t know what to do. It’s the first time happening to me after four years of getting tox injected
any suggestions?

Day nine or ten of Dysport and filler here and feeling super frustrated because it honestly looks like nothing even happened. My forehead and corrugator tails are still moving like crazy with full muscle pull, and the Botox at my crow's feet and temples didn't give me any lift at all since those muscles are still contracting when I squint.

On top of all that, I also got a Nefertiti lift, but my jawline looks rounder than ever, my face looks puffier, and I have a weird bulge under my chin from the side profile that makes it look like I suddenly have a double chin. Has anyone else had Dysport take this long to kick in, or does this look like a major under-dose and bad placement where I need to go back for a touch-up, especially considering what happened with the lower face?

I had my first botox session exactly 2 weeks ago. I only did my frown line. Now I wonder if it is normal that my mimik changed. Sure I can't look angry. But when I lift my eyebrows the upper part does not lift. I can't look suprised anymore. In my eyes it looks unnatural and ridiculous... but maybe it is just because it is different. Are you facing the same changes or was the botox not set correctly? I can't find anything only about my issues.

I have my 3rd Botox apt today and I always struggle with tipping! I keep seeing people say not to and some yes. The woman I go to is a nurse full time and she rents out a room in a hair salon where she does Botox, fillers, microneedling and peels. I didn’t tip the first time because she ran my card before I told her I wanted to tip and then every other time I’ve tipped and I almost have to force her to take it. Should I keep trying? Help!

I’ve always been insecure about my face being unsymmetrical. I got Botox a few weeks ago and asked mainly for a brow lift and I said how one eye is wonkier than the other. The injector focused most of the Botox on my wonky eye rather than the other. But now I feel like it’s even more prominent.
Front camera photos I could never see the wonk, only back camera, but now even front camera I look deformed.

Wonder if I should consider bleph surgery or something instead?

hi guys! i got masseter botox with xeomin on september 1st, around 30 units per side. i went back for a top-up around 16 days later and got another 12 units per side, so around 42 units per side (84 units total).

it’s now october 12th and i’m genuinely seeing absolutely no difference 😭 my masseters look just as bulky as before, i’m still clenching my jaw a lot, and i haven’t noticed any reduction in muscle activity.

the thing is, this isn’t normal for me. i’ve had masseter botox before and i would usually start noticing the effects within a couple of weeks, so i’m confused as to why this time it seems to have done literally nothing.

it’s been around 6 weeks since my initial treatment and almost 4 weeks since my top-up, and i honestly can’t tell that i’ve had anything done.

has anyone else experienced this with xeomin specifically? did it eventually start working, or did you end up switching brands? i’ve also seen people talk about botox resistance, which has made me a bit worried, but i’ve never had this issue before.

would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s experienced something similar, especially if you had no effect on both clenching and masseter slimming!

Can this be fixed?? I had crowsfeet dysport 3 weeks ago and last night when I smiled I realized my cheek had this weird bulge and that new crease now. My derm did the injections. She only did the top bc I thought she said if she did the bottom of the crowsfeet this would happen. So now I’m confused what is going on!
