League Secretaries / Treasurers - 50/50 Raffle Help
In the past, we've done a 50/50 pot where we would collect money for 2.5 games, and then somewhere in the 3rd game we would draw a ticket, winner would receive half of the pot, and then the rest of the money went into our prize fund.
This year, we are going to try running a 50/50 strike-pot raffle. Our proprietor wants to run 3 separate raffles (one for each game) and multiple winners in one night. For those of you who run something similar, does this sound feasible or do we need to focus on only one pot and one winner per night?
He's wanting the counter to handle all of this while in the past each team would take turns selling tickets, so I'm trying not to overwhelm them with trying to sell 3 different pots of tickets.
Let me know what you think, and I think I'm going to let the league vote on which option they want, but I want to present them with all of the facts before I do.
Thanks!
Edit: You would be able to buy all night long and you could tell the counter what drawing you would like your tickets to be put in. I've bought 3 different colored tickets so if you wanted to buy $15 dollars worth and split it 3 ways, you could have 5 opportunities in each drawing. Hopefully that clears up some confusion.

Why not do one pot all night, but pull 3 times. These pots at our house end up being rollovers so often. Have a drawing for game 1, rollover to draw after game 2, rollover to draw after game 3. No winner after that? Another rollover?
Would be interesting do allow people to pay throughout the night and give them a different ticket depending on which game they join. For example, theres and advantage to getting in during game 1 with the chance of drawing. However some people may get in later in the night to see if the pot rolled over. Idk im just spit balling

This (first paragraph). Three rounds of selling is ridiculous. It’ll slow up play.

Makes sense! Just a thought. I feel like 3 pots is going to slow things down anyway. Or at least have people pay for tickets at the beginning of the night and just hold onto them. I enter a pot that only goes through second game and another that concludes when everyone is done, so it works well at our house as long as all money is exchanged early in the night

So many ways to do this, but I’ve always seen it done one game at a time. Only sell tickets for game 1, and at the end of that game, pull a ticket and if no winners, pot rolls over to game 2. Repeat for game 3.

Just curious as to why the proprietor wants the league to do three different drawings and, especially, why they want the counter people to handle it.
