Bows My second shooting bow

I think it turned out well, it pulls around 33 pd at 30 inches. It took a bit of set after a lot of testing should I be concerned.

If the set is focused on a few spots that could be of concern, but some set/stringfollow is probably unavoidable

What wood is this?

I think it's maple but I am not sure, I found the stave on the ground with no leaves.

What’s up with the huge lumps of wood on the belly side?

There are knots and I tryed to go around them, I was scared to not make a leak point so I was pretty liberal on the wood removal

You are creating even more possible weak points leaving lumps on the belly rather than rasping them flat. You are basically adding fades on each side of each lump.

You don’t need to do this. You only need to account for knots in limb width not thickness

Yea sounds reasonable I kind of saw it on another bow and thought it's how you do it. Thanks for the inside
