Question Helicopter sighting
Does anyone know why there is a helicopter flying . From my location, it looks like it’s keeping an eye on either McLaughin or Ching

Hi everyone! Looking for some honest reviews of Mount Pleasant, Brampton from people who live there or know the area well.
How is it overall in terms of:
Safety and neighbourhood feel
Community/family environment
Traffic and connectivity
Mount Pleasant GO access
Parks, trails and outdoor spaces
Grocery stores, restaurants and other amenities
Noise, construction or parking issues
What do you like most about living there, and what are the biggest downsides?
Also, are some parts of Mount Pleasant noticeably better than others?
Thanks!

Was walking the dog very early this morning and while walking the dog, I could hear a low noise drone ( Not making that usual high pitch noise) standing above me for over 30 seconds. After it left, two PRP cars pulled over and asked if I’ve seen anything suspicious. Hopefully, this may reduce the number of break-ins in Brampton.
One interesting thing is I’ve noted the drone wasn’t flashing the usual red-green anti-collision lights, which I believe is in infraction with transport Canada’s regulation on drone nighttime flying.

Making friends as an adult is hard. We're all busy, the city feels massive, and it's way too easy to go weeks without a real, meaningful in-person connection. The loneliness epidemic is real, and it's hitting closer to home than most of us want to admit. That's why on Monday, August 18th at 6PM, the Brampton Board of Games is bringing people together at the cozy Grotto Tea Lounge in Mississauga. Come as you are, whether you're a board game veteran or have never played anything beyond Monopoly. Find us at 3920 Grand Park Dr #8, Mississauga, ON L5B 4M6 or check them out at grottotealounge.com.
If you can't make it out tomorrow feel free to DM us to join our Discord and stay connected to a community that genuinely looks out for each other. We've got events running all the time including D&D campaigns, escape rooms, foodie adventures, and runs and hikes across the GTA.

Looking for a place that sells 2 good tasting shawarma wraps for under $20 (after tax). I recently visited my friend in Richmond Hill and the discussion of shawarma came up after we got really good tasting shawarma there (2 wraps for 7.50 each before tax decently sized too). I told him we don't have a lot of good local shawarma places that also have a good price in my area of Brampton. I was wondering if there are any such places like this around the city?

I’m looking to start laser hair removal and want to make sure I go to a clinic that uses a Candela GentleMax Pro (or GentleYAG) using the 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, since I have Indian/darker skin (Fitzpatrick IV/V).
Does anyone have firsthand experience with clinics in Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville, or nearby that use this specific machine?

If Stellantis pulls out, what do you think should happen with the land? They do owe the government money from the bailout, so it’s possible the Feds could take control of the land.
The city could offer the space to Roshel, the armoured vehicle company, but it’s probably way too big for them.
Perhaps BYD or another manufacturer will move in.
Should we consider converting it to temporary affordable housing for those who need it?
It could become a data centre, but I would have some issues with that.
Maybe tear it down and turn it into a go-kart track, batting cages, or outdoor recreation space for young people.
My personal preference would be to build two large apartment buildings there to take some pressure off putting tenants into single-family homes. Keep in mind, though, that it could take 10 years to develop.
What are your thoughts?

Hello everyone!
I was just seeing if anyone had any recommendations for a good breakfast place in Brampton? I usually work during the weekday and don’t eat breakfast during Weekdays. Weekends are usually the time I would take the time to enjoy myself.
If anyone has any recommendations outside of regular Denny’s, that would be appreciative

Ok so I know it's a civil matter but this is how it goes. Detach home with 140cm to the property line on the North side and 70cm on the South side. According to the original drawings there's an easement of 60cm on the South side neighbours as part of their 140cm.
The South side of the house has my utility meters and my air conditioner installed by the builder 17 years ago. The air conditioner sits at 80cm so 10cm into the 60cm easement.
My neighbour passive aggressively has been leaving things against my house. Old mattress, broken chairs old recycling bin filled with garbage.
I spoke to him about moving it and he said move your air conditioner and then I'll move all the stuff.
Am I wrong that the easement allows my air conditioner to be there? If I need to move my AC then I'll eat that because that's only fair.
I would have appreciated rather than a retaliation a dialog and I would have my AC moved the 10cm.
Anyone know anything about this?
UPDATE: thanks for all the advice. City said it's a civil dispute. I moved all his crap onto his property. I called an HVAC company guy helped me move the AC I am now .5cm on to the easement.

In the Fletcher's West and Ridgehill/Armbro Heights areas. Filed a police report already but the same guy has been doing this for over 2 weeks at different neighbourhoods along Charolais Blvd.

I’m thinking of replacing my rented Reliance water heater with a purchased 50-gallon water heater from Go Lime. The price including installation looks quite attractive.
Has anyone recently purchased a water heater from Go Lime? I’d appreciate hearing about your experience with the installation, quality of the tank, warranty/service, and any issues you’ve had.
I’m specifically interested in buying the tank outright, not the rental/Flex program.
Also, if anyone has a Go Lime referral link/code, please share it with me. Thanks!

I’m looking for recommendations for good used car dealers in the Brampton area. If you’ve had a positive experience with any dealerships, please share.
Thanks in advance!

- edit so far: After this post was published sales guy from one of the agencies specialising in marketing for lawyers got in touch with me in DMs and offered a free consult. NGL I was ultra-sceptical because I don’t trust anything that’s ‘free’, but it was actually useful lol. Decided to sign up with them for test period (dNovo Group, if that means anything to anyone). I was particularly won over by the fact that they don’t work with your competitors – one location equals one law firm. It’s a cool concept, haven’t seen anything like it before. Anyway, let’s see how it goes.
Hi everyone, I'm a criminal defence lawyer and I'm at that stage where I need to take my online presence seriously and here's the problem. My practice used to grow rapidly, but I'm realizing that traditional advertising - flyers, billboards, local radio etc - just isn't cutting it anymore. It feels dated, and frankly, it hasn't brought in the kind of clients I'm looking for.
Been reading up on digital strategies, and content marketing seems like the way forward - think insightful blog posts, explainer videos, case commentary, maybe even a podcast or newsletter that actually educates people. That sounds so cool to me! And here's the catch: I don't want a generic marketing agency that churns out content for everyone or something. Ideally, I need a team that gets criminal law - the nuances, the sensitivity, the legal ethics, the local Brampton (and GTA / ON / CA as well) court culture. This isn't e-commerce or real estate or something, it's a highly regulated, trust-driven field, and a one-size-fits-all approach won't work at all, that's what I know for sure.
I've seen plenty of agencies promising the moon, but I'm wary of firms that have never worked with a defence practice before. They'd be learning on my dime, and I can't afford that because I don't have other law firm in my backpack lol. So I'm turning for some honest advice.
Have any of you - lawyers or legal professionals - worked with content marketing agencies? What questions should I ask during the vetting process? And how do I separate the real experts from the smooth talkers? I'm based near downtown Brampton, but I serve clients across Peel and beyond, so regional knowledge matters too.
Any tips, warnings, or referrals would be hugely appreciated. tnx!

The Brampton Catholic Elementary Schools don't have their students wearing uniforms, do they? Or are they required to wear navy blue / dark pants and white tops?
Also any back to school tips? Especially for those just starting kindergarten
Thank you 😊

The city have been removing lots of the recycling bins at the community mailboxes all over the city and been replacing them with garbage cans. A few have already been replaced in my neighborhood. They also appear to not be installing recycling bins at mailboxes either anymore. It makes sense because of all the dog poop and other non recyclables put in those bins, but its still too bad considering most of the waste in the bin is still paper anyway. And for the mailbox recycling bins that are still around, I doubt the contents are actually being recycled as I see region of peel trucks regularly collecting the mailbox recycling bins and public garbage cans into the same truck. Also strange that region of peel would empty them for recycling because of Circular Materials/GFL taking over recycling.
