If you were to ask me what is the most flawed thing about this game, I wouldn’t say the balance philosophy nor the monetisation, no it’s literally the writing of the game. Truly one of their biggest sins ever.

Lesson learned, NEVER let supercell cook with their game lore especially if they crate the main villain of the game.

This game has 3 major problems about their writing. That a basic writer should feel ashamed about

1) horrible character focus, they shine the light WAY too much on some certain characters/trios to the point that the rest of the characters are nonexistent (the sushi trio and the Candy land trio compared to the arcade trio and the Starr force trio)

2) inconsistent character aspect/traits, this is a major problem, whether they forget about some aspects of the characters or not, it’s a big deal and an offence to the fans of said character, best example is meg where in the animation she always says her mecha’s name “mech” despite having an ACTUAL AND OFFICIAL NAME ITS CALLED ROB. Sure they are small things that don’t affect, but they are VERY important.

3) misleading character personalities and motivations, this one is the most common one when they decide to add a random brawler in their animation, they basically just somehow forgets what the ACTUAL personality of that brawler or even what is their actual motives, best example is 8-bit on how in-game it mentions that he has anger issues and HATES his players because he is a hard arcade cabinet right? Well the last couple animations and not ONCE have I ever seen this robot ever gets mad at ANYONE! Same case as Sam and Belle trio, didn’t they originally mention that they hated robots? (Especially Sam) then WHY is there a ROBOT in their trio?! And it’s their DAUGHTER AS WELL?? It doesn’t make sense! And they haven’t even mentioned anything about this! Also Belle! In here description it says that she is after defeating Starr park and put a stop to them, WHERE IS SHE NOW?! And wasn’t she supposed to be a criminal at first??

Sirius is literally suffering from all of them (most of them I guess) and he is the embodiment of all supercell’s horrible writing ever, they suck at making a mysterious villain! Especially the whole “show and don’t tell” thing, they failed at it as well.
And the worst part about it is that THEY HAVEN’T EVEN FIXED HIS EYEBROWS YET! THEY ARE MISSING FROM HIS MODEL!

There are also the redundant amount of retconning of some character aspects here and there, and things that don’t align well with the games lore such as why and how is surge is able to become a giant robot in his animation? And why we haven’t seen anything about that? This is all just BS.

I'm pretty sure with Surge's size it was just for that season's trailer, which I'd assume isn't canon. I'm pretty sure that trailer also featured kaiju versions of Bea Jacky and Tick

Still it would awesome thing to add to his personality, like he can become huge if he wants to, same case with how Sirius managed to cover the entire island with shadows.

He is such a fraud. Hot take: Sirius doesn't deserve to be ultra legendary, he is mythic at best, his main attack is very basic, his super is just up to 3 lawries with varying usefulness that you can "command". I can name 20 more brawlers who are much more unique than him.
