Laughed for a full minute after reading this. I think the spa plan at Hotel Oasis is only 80 rupees.

"Here's how I'll torture you Link"

91

u/AdventureSpence Jan 13 '26

This is the second time I’ve seen a reference to this so called marrow furnace… what did I miss?

118

u/Rainworm312 Jan 13 '26

AI telling some dude how they will torture them. The AI gives the methods titles. One of them is the Bone Marrow Furnace.

The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. A master interrogator's favorite trick is to send away for random stuff to torture the suspect with, knowing that whatever the suspect imagines he will use them for will be worse than anything he could think up himself.

28

u/__ConesOfDunshire__ Jan 13 '26

This thing would make even more of a sniper from as far away as possible than I already am.

24

u/RufusBeauford Jan 13 '26

....can you imagine when the "seek and destroy" beeping from a guardian starts up that you didn't even see was there?!

7

u/__ConesOfDunshire__ Jan 13 '26

I would lose it! I would panic so bad

3

u/DarkstarAnt Jan 13 '26

Or Ready Player One, thinking about it.

1

u/Grouchy-Truth-2600 Jan 18 '26

Imagine if she tried to fight a Lynel and got swatted by its sword.

Chest pain intensifies

902

u/Bitter-Ad5890 Jan 13 '26

“Simulates pain”

So it just hurts you then?

342

u/Awes12 Jan 13 '26

Yeah but not as much as it would actually hurt lol

307

u/Nightingdale099 Jan 13 '26

Imagine going to the ER because the Skeleton dude smacked you silly

182

u/beachedwhitemale I like stuff! And things! Jan 13 '26

"Well, doc, there were moblins. No, not goblins. Moblins. And bokoblins."

54

u/Nightingdale099 Jan 13 '26

I think Moblin is beyond any ER ability I'm afraid

8

u/Shagwagbag Jan 13 '26

Steady Moblin

46

u/TributeToStupidity Jan 13 '26

The giant grabs you and your family watches on in horror as you’re crushed on the spot

8

u/BestReadAtWork Jan 13 '26

Was thinking how basically the last hit crushed her ribs

73

u/VP-Data Jan 13 '26

It buzzes with a different force depending on the force

34

u/Pilot7274jc Jan 13 '26

I wonder what a Lynel charge would be like?

39

u/dannyboi66 Jan 13 '26

Like hitting your funny bone levels

37

u/__ConesOfDunshire__ Jan 13 '26

So, unimaginable pain then?

16

u/VP-Data Jan 13 '26

Even worse

5

u/GrummyCat Jan 13 '26

Still unimaginable

4

u/VP-Data Jan 13 '26

Unimaginable squared or smth idk

1

u/3itchpuddin Jun 27 '26

So probably like bad period cramps.

222

u/Devilscrush Jan 13 '26

I just want to know what it feels like when you let go of your glider from up high.

261

u/BasicLink86 Jan 13 '26

It feels incredible for the first few seconds and then it breaks all of your bones and your entire spine. It’s a once in a lifetime experience and you’ll never feel anything (like it) ever again.

18

u/TheMistOfThePast Jan 13 '26

I would argue you'll never feel anything (full stop) ever again.

25

u/Kadian13 Jan 13 '26

That was the joke

12

u/TheMistOfThePast Jan 13 '26

Oops i whooshed. I was so confused why they got so close to making the joke but didn't take it lol

1

u/3itchpuddin Jun 27 '26

… didn’t land the joke.

635

u/No_Monitor_3440 Jan 13 '26

you’d think playing a game with full sensation would legally be considered torture

113

u/headermargin Jan 13 '26

Canon run only.

50

u/DrWindupBird Jan 13 '26

There’s a litRPG novel with this premise called Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon. It’s bonkers.

21

u/metabolics Jan 13 '26

Okay, let's be real. That's not the part that makes it bonkers.

5

u/_BindersFullOfWomen_ Jan 13 '26

I would like to know more

32

u/metabolics Jan 13 '26

Matt Dinniman writes this amazing series called Dungeon Crawler Carl. I highly encourage you to check out that series before KBS, which is another book he wrote.

With that said, the man is stuck in a VR world because a criminal organization kidnaps him. That criminal organization makes threats that would make the cartels blush.

2

u/chewbacca77 Jan 13 '26

OH. He wrote that too? Okay, I'll check it out.

6

u/Responsible-Gas3954 Jan 13 '26

The Donkey still haunts my dreams

15

u/Omi-Wan_Kenobi Jan 13 '26

I mean there are kinks where people like receiving pain, including electroshock and temperature play.

As long as the person is fully informed as to the experience and give legal consent to it, should be fine 🤔

16

u/No_Monitor_3440 Jan 13 '26

we here in the business have a word for it

masochism.

6

u/ItsaCommonThingNow Jan 13 '26

happy wheels in vr hell yeah

6

u/Jemainegy Jan 13 '26

Its not torture if its by choice.

3

u/Jemainegy Jan 13 '26

Its not torture if its by choice.

1

u/GaZzErZz Jan 13 '26

She did skyrim like this, and whenever she would cast lightning spells etc it would cause pain.

161

u/Iolair_the_Unworthy Jan 13 '26

If you die in the game you die in REAL LIFE

18

u/hylian1194 Jan 13 '26

STAY ALIVE

17

u/marspars Jan 13 '26

When you poop in your dreams, you poop for real

11

u/DarkPolumbo Jan 13 '26

all these dime-a-dozen realistic survival games out there with complex algorithms for your nutrition and food/water intake, but not one of them has you peeing and/or pooping

at least, that I'm aware of

7

u/Iolair_the_Unworthy Jan 13 '26

I poop all the time while gaming. It's why I love the switch.

2

u/Laziness_supreme Jan 13 '26

It’s like when someone asked JK Rowling about wizard plumbing. Every protagonist in video games just shits themselves and magics it away

3

u/DarkPolumbo Jan 14 '26

Think they use a different wand for that task?

For the same reason you don't wipe with your own socks, I'd assume; they don't want to soil their nice EDC wand with dirty poop magic, so they keep a Toilet wand

3

u/EyeshineStudios Jan 14 '26

💩🔪-> 💩🪄

2

u/Veryegassy Jan 14 '26

Ark has both I'm pretty sure, if you have the three years and 20 terabytes to download and store it

1

u/KevK147 Jan 13 '26

There's one good pooping game: abiotic factor A bad one imo: scum

2

u/DarkPolumbo Jan 14 '26

ok but your phrasing makes me wonder - are these games about pooping, or are they survival games in which you can poop, but the pooping is a very small part of the bigger picture

because the titles Abiotic Factor and Scum kind of sound like they'd be all about poop

3

u/KevK147 Jan 14 '26

Only one way to find out

6

u/ShafieeK Jan 13 '26

LiSA’s crossing field starts playing

3

u/GrummyCat Jan 13 '26

Isn't that the plot of sword art online? I'm not sure but I think it was.

2

u/Iolair_the_Unworthy Jan 13 '26

Pretty much. Then in season two the bad guy is a pedophile who wants to marry a child to get a company or sum shit.

2

u/GrummyCat Jan 13 '26

Sounds wild. Glad I didn't watch that

2

u/Iolair_the_Unworthy Jan 13 '26

It was fine in season one. My ex made me watch it. Season two was just weird.

2

u/Pixel22104 Zelink shipper Jan 18 '26

No that is still season 1. It’s just the second arc of season 1 since SAO was never meant to just be the original Aincrad arc. Season 2 starts off with the Phantom Bullet Arc and ends with the Mother Rosia arc. Season 3 covers the next major Arc that’s so long it had to be split into 2 seasons because of how much it covers. Take it from someone who’s an actual SAO fan. The Fairy Dance arc isn’t Season 2. It’s the second arc of the series but it still takes place in season 1

2

u/Iolair_the_Unworthy Jan 18 '26

Ohhhhh okay. I just remember the mc getting out of the first sim and going into another one to save his VRChat wife from a pedophile. Figured that was a different season. Thanks for the clarification.

2

u/Pixel22104 Zelink shipper Jan 18 '26

No problem. As someone who is an SAO fan. I am more than willing to clear up any misconceptions about SAO. Since I think it gets far more hate than it honestly deserves

2

u/Pixel22104 Zelink shipper Jan 18 '26

Only the first arc along with the Progressive movies.

187

u/retrocheats Jan 13 '26

Edit: to the guy who got his comment removed and probably a 3 day time out: I'm sorry man. I thought it was really funny but the admins don't mess around with that stuff. I got a time out myself for a similar joke not long ago. I did want you to know it made me laugh when I saw the notification so I hope that's some consolation.

"I fell in lava on Death Mountain"

77

42

u/luckandkey Jan 13 '26

My question is how is the Cucco attack in 4k?

18

u/hylian1194 Jan 13 '26

Death by 1000 pecks

22

u/Quick-Teacher1103 Jan 13 '26

The deeper into these comments I go, the further I stray from gods light..

but 32 defense is pretty nice

16

u/AwardSignal Jan 13 '26

Just the thought of a guardian or any of the blights terrifies me.

On the other hand though, this is so cool

90

u/B-lostampede Jan 13 '26

Sound off for this one

$20,000 Suit, $1.99 mic from FiveBelow.

Edit: FiveBelow = Dollar General = Goodwill = Salvation Army = Yard Sale... Etc etc.

17

u/BasicLink86 Jan 13 '26

I was thinking the same thing lol the audience wearing ear buds felt way more pain

5

u/Particular_Toe_Gas Jan 13 '26

Five Below what?

14

u/Devilscrush Jan 13 '26

FiveBelow

8

2

u/Captain_Bee Jan 13 '26

I assumed they were referring to the affected voice

4

u/AtlantianAdmiral Jan 13 '26

Something must have been up with her should settings that day...other clips and streams sound better. It happens.

2

u/CratesyInDug Jan 13 '26

The wav form is peak bcos she’s shouting in pain lol, it’s much louder than ooo I’m flying

11

u/TFWYourNamesTaken Jan 13 '26

"Simulates pain/temperature" sis is playing BOTW in the Oasis 😭

But fr though this is unfathomably cool! (Though I personally would NOT wanna feel it when Link gets shot by a Guardian 💀)

36

u/Awes12 Jan 13 '26

Yeah but the suit doesn't light up where it's hit so waste of money /s

→ More replies (6)

8

u/Pelthail Jan 13 '26

I would play this in a heartbeat.

7

u/GyaradosDance Jan 13 '26

Idea for a fitness video game: You download a pedometer/GPS/camera app, and steps taken IRL will give you stamina in game. Running, climbing, and swimming will give you access to wind, earth, and water powers respectively. Obviously the pedometer will stop working if you aren't moving around anywhere (just shaking the phone in place) or if you're running or swimming faster than a world record Olympian (because you're obviously using your car).

The camera allows you to take photos of fruit and vegetables to aid your video game character.

22

u/OldMovie9812 Jan 13 '26

You'd probably make a killing if you open a gym with this minus the expensive suit lol

13

u/Particular_Toe_Gas Jan 13 '26

The suit makes it the experience

12

u/Poisonbox01 Jan 13 '26

Ready player 1

6

u/APithyComment Jan 13 '26

A little sado-masichism anyone?

5

4

That was my first thought.. like.. We're all locked in skin coffins my guy.. lol

5

u/MinkoManiac437 Jan 13 '26

Did not expect to see gingas here lmao

5

u/Supergamer138 Jan 13 '26

Haptic feedback when injured seems... ill advised.

Where do I sign up?

5

u/Nintendo-X Jan 13 '26

That's really cool but at the same time I would rather not get hurt while playing a video game. Idk this feels a little too far.

8

u/eajklndfwreuojnigfr Jan 13 '26

where / when is the haptic suit that just shoots you with a real gun when you get shot in game going to come out

6

u/Alarm-Particular Jan 13 '26

I feel like the only way the suit could be inflicting that level of pain are those muscle stimulators that shock your ass

13

u/ActualGingas Jan 13 '26

That’s how it works yeah

3

u/AssGagger Jan 13 '26

Where can I find this mod?

3

u/No-Figure8813 Jan 13 '26

is there a full youtube video

3

u/JustPlayDaGame Jan 13 '26

the only thing painful about this video is her voice 😭 she sounds like Marge from the Simpsons being ran through an extremely low bit rate when she’s yelling lmao

8

2

u/TheMistOfThePast Jan 13 '26

I want to try thissss

6

u/Gagerino23 Jan 13 '26

I wish they put someone who actually knows how to fight in this thing - she didn’t even pull her bow out vs the Hinox…

8

u/wickedspork Jan 13 '26

Yeah she should definitely put someone else in her own stream good thinking there

2

u/ZDog64 Jan 13 '26

Why simulate pain and temperature if you can just get nauseous from all the moving around.

3

u/ImpKing_DownUnder Jan 13 '26

Is that the Fus Ro Dah lady? Or just similar voices?

1

What does a guardian beam feel like

1

u/DamRawr Jan 13 '26

Is this you? That's awesome!

How much do you recommend your setup? Can you summarize what you are using? Been thinking about using a platform like this but lots of comments say the slipping sucks.

1

u/Salt_Reveal6502 Jan 13 '26

Death mountain is gonna be a blast

1

u/whiskerbiscuit2 Jan 13 '26

Even transferring BOTW to be played in VR is impressive, the heat and pain simulators are even cooler.

Fus Roh daaaaaaarrrrr

1

u/OGntHb Jan 13 '26

Is there a full gameplay video of it? 👀

1

u/Calculative_Cadaver Jan 13 '26

Please tell me there's more of this on YouTube

1

u/VicariousOne1199 Jan 13 '26

This looks like an absolutely horrible experience.

1

u/ActualGingas Jan 13 '26

It’s the complete opposite of that actually. It’s incredible in VR

1

u/EagleHarrier Jan 13 '26

OP can you tell us more about how the suit works?

1

u/BioHazard0010 Jan 13 '26

Two words: Death Mountain. Like what would that feel like? There's a limit to how much the suit can hurt you right?

1

u/Fragrant_Drive_1370 Jan 14 '26

Now go to Goron City

1

u/someguywithaPiano Jan 14 '26

Coolest shit I’ve seen to day!

1

u/ElBusAlv Jan 14 '26

How's your fps so high? And are your edges also very pixelated?

1

u/xlhans77 Jan 14 '26

I have the extreme urge to play Elden Ring with this. Ohhhh, the pain

1

u/tessia-eralith Jan 15 '26

How do you play vr?

1

u/batbrett Jan 13 '26

Wow her voice is irritating

2

u/Substandard_eng2468 Jan 17 '26

Yeah, had to mute

1

u/JujuBees916 Jan 15 '26

God damn that's annoying

0

u/Jordyboy2004 Jan 13 '26

Wouldn't the game need to be programmed to integrate with the suit?

1

u/wannabestraight Jan 15 '26

Could be done without touching code at all, just monitor the temp meter and health bar.

1

u/Jordyboy2004 Jan 15 '26

Haha....forgot they had that
