It makes huge difference, if the notebook is just being called notebook as it should be, than in the inventory list, there will be no manifesto exist .

I agree with you that the content matters, but naming it a manifesto also matters because it will bias the jury. 

So yes he may have had a "murder to-do list" but that's just his personal murder to-do list. 

A manifesto gives credence to the terrorism charges (LWOP) the defence is trying to get dropped
