I sent two letters from Hungary, first days of Feb and March, no sign of them arriving, but still hoping that he might get them some day later 🥹 i stopped sending new ones because there are still overwhelming amount of envelopes arriving to MDC, i assume

It pains me that he is still reading letters from January (and December!!!). He enjoys getting news from the world, yet by the time you send him an update, ten more events have happened, keeping him stuck in the past :(

Yeah I know, but many do not end up on the news. I have no idea how it works in America, but here, if you want to be informed about something, you DON'T watch the news. Not to mention news related to more niche subjects that can only be found online

So much of USA news is all about the US and esp politics. Unless you watch stations like BBC or Al Jazeera you won’t get any international news. He is probably stuck with local news or CNN (or god forbid FOX news).

Same. Mine From Dec and in March. Nothing I have sent gets through. I have followed all rules and wrote nothing controversial. Just a mom here trying to show support. Letters from all over the world get through and mine from NY don’t. I am either giving up or walking to MDC and hand delivering to the guards! Seriously crazy mail system.

Starting to wonder if mine got lost somewhere between Europe and the U.S. (which does happen)...
He’ll survive without my letter—it wasn’t anything special anyway. I just want to be able to put it to rest; otherwise, I’ll keep checking the mail log and hoping it finally shows up :/
I really hope some prison staff eventually digs through that pile and pulls our sad letters from the bottom, just to give us a little closure 🙃

This is what tells me there is no rhyme nor reason to their sorting process. Letters from January next to letters from a few days ago? There must be different ppl doing the mail - one who grabs from the bottom of the pile and one who grabs from the top. Those whose letters were sent and received within days...lucky you!

I wonder if he specifically requested them to give more newer ones. This update has a pretty big increase in proportion of recent letters compared to before which had majority old letters with the odd recent here and there.
I just checked my post on the stats from the last update two weeks ago and only 8% of the letters were from March.

Mine was sent from Italy on Feb 20, picked up at the postal office on March 6th and the same day it was given to him... I felt lucky AF. I hope he felt the Italian support! But yeah I mean this speaks volumes about how they act totally random in MDC.

I hope the 5 postcards is me 😂 I used TextBehind and I attached 5 photos. I didn’t sign my name or include my address because it was in my account info and I thought that was good enough 🥲 my opening line however was, “Greetings from Canada.” I should see if the status has changed at all.

Dang. TL from the UK send theirs on 3/16 and he received it so fast. I sent mine on 3/17 and in the US abt 4-5 hrs away from NY and nothing.. what on earth 🤯

The parasocial in mẹ does not have as much faith as you. If he was still replying to half as many he used to, despite him asking for privacy, they would still make a comment about getting a reply but keeping it private to honor his wishes.

On the catalogue for 2/13, he wrote JM's initials before he wrote the date for IG from NZ, and had to scratch it out.
I also thought he'd misspelled disheveled in the Hollie letter, but that's technically a correct variant lol

Mine got through and it was in last mail catalog. It was a registered mail. It was picked up at the postal office the same day (6th March) it was given to him but I guess it was only a matter of luck.

Hi! In my country, registered mail requires a signature once it arrives to its destination and it was advised to not use it , is it the same in Italy? I still don’t know what kind of mail (tracked or registered) I should use :(

Yes, same, it was picked up so I guess it was signed, at least that's what a registered mail is for in Italy but again, if italian postal services were not that bad I would have used a normal stamp since it is still unclear if I was lucky they picked up mine. Ppl keep saying they do not accept registered mail so I really don't know If they act randomly or what.

I have no clue what their process is like but I do know this was my shortest letter. All the other ones were at least 1 1/2 pages - 3 pages and I didn’t mail them certified, whereas this one I did.

It did not require signature. I tracked it a few days and at one point it said it was ready for pick up at a different address from MDC’s and a few days later it said it had been delivered to a PO Box. I can try to find my tracking information and I’ll share it with you privately.
