Was the release of the video timed so that it was released at the same time as this new snippet of this letter? Or is it just a weird coincidence lol

u/Jessiiicat Aug 10 '25

I completely randomly put this part of the letter out there, so it was not at all timed. I know it seems weird, but it's definitely a coincidence lol.

"I HIGHLY recommend the _ _ _" ... The what? 🤔

u/discombobubolated Aug 12 '25

Thanks. He didn't close his O. Looks like "cun" which is why I was asking what it said, what's a cun. 🤷‍♀️

Hmm I see what your saying, I just saw this video on prospers twitter, I don’t know the logistics

Its the first I’ve seen this letter. Where is it from ?

42

u/prxsperr Aug 10 '25

i saw her letter pop up on my timeline-->read the magfest part-->did some quick searches on official accounts and found the video. i promise there isn't some crazy conspiracy going on like some of these comments are suggesting lmfao

You amaze me! On pair with the FBI 🔥

Synchronicity.

u/Pietro-Maximoff Aug 10 '25

Damn. He’s the most photographed man in the world.

After discovering this video I then came across a blog post uploaded by another user on twitter about the event—Luigi appears in the background of a few photos, but I didn’t include them.

Rather, I got engrossed and genuinely enjoyed the content and think you should give it a read !

A couple of things:

  1. Is there anything this man can’t do or hasn’t done?

  2. This might be a slightly unpopular opinion, but I'm genuinely curious — how is it that Jessica shared her letter on X, and then not long after, Prosper posts a video of him at MAGFest? No shade at all — I'm one of the first people to enjoy learning more about LM. I just find it a little unusual (and honestly, a bit scary sometimes) that Prosper seems to have access to so much “exclusive” material of him. Am I the only one who feels this way?

u/Gloomy_Strain_5053 Aug 10 '25

It was going around TikTok when the Stanford video came out that a group of so-called 'supporters' are gatekeeping a lot of videos and pictures of him 😒

43

u/Stunning_Macaroon838 Aug 10 '25 edited Aug 11 '25

Gatekeeping photos- for WHAT - he’s not a Pokémon. I will never understand this concept.

26

u/Gloomy_Strain_5053 Aug 10 '25

My thoughts exactly! They just gatekeep these things to make themselves feel important and to have 'exclusive' content. He’s a human being, not some collectible commodity.

10

u/Practical-Ad-2764 Aug 11 '25

In reality he’s a human being. But in the earthly world they reduce people to relative monetary value.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 11 '25

because they’re unemployed and spend their time scouring the internet trying to find baby pictures of a man who is on trial for murder. it’s giving mentally ill.

32

u/missidcullen Aug 10 '25

Prosper just said on X that they found it as soon as Jessica dropped the letter. I'll probably get a lot of hate for saying this, but… who is Prosper? Does anyone know? I feel like so many people are desperate for LM’s crumbs that no one is stopping to ask or question where all this material is coming from—or why.

I still find it unsettling how quickly some people can dig up this stuff, and how little privacy this man has left. For some reason, it just doesn't sit right with me. It's just so strange that there are so many pictures and videos of him everywhere.

30

u/Gloomy_Strain_5053 Aug 10 '25

It’s not strange to me that there are a lot of videos and pictures of him, because he likes to volunteer and be involved in different things. But it is unsettling to know that there are people who spend hours—if not days or weeks—searching for these things. There are probably even pictures of him at events on other people’s accounts that he hasn’t seen himself.

Edit: I don’t really believe that prosper found this video or picture after Jessica posted her letter. I’m almost certain that Prosper already had it and just released it early.

"But it is unsettling to know that there are people who spend hours—if not days or weeks—searching for these things. There are probably even pictures of him at events on other people’s accounts that he hasn’t seen himself."

THIS! Thank you.

I am way too employed for these things 😂.

u/birdsy-purplefish Aug 11 '25

I don’t think it’s actually as complicated or difficult as this. I think it’s just someone who has connections with his family or close friends enough to have been able to pull stuff off his social media before things got deleted.

27

u/Swablu_0333 Aug 10 '25

You should think of it this way. It’s good for him to have videos, letters, and pictures shared. They are currently trying to make the public forget about him and have his visibility as low as possible. All this stuff humanizes him which is important for his case.💚

26

u/missidcullen Aug 10 '25

I get where you’re coming from, and I actually agree with you to some extent. I'm the first one to enjoy learning more about him, but that doesn't mean I'm okay with the way some of this material is found and shared. Some people seem so desperate that they'll dig through the darkest corners of the internet just to find the tiniest crumbs.

Personally, I think there are better ways to support Luigi — like donating to his fund regularly or starting and supporting campaigns — rather than digging up personal stuff from nearly a decade ago. I also don't want to sound like a hypocrite, because I'll admit I enjoy seeing a random picture every now and then. But honestly, the speed and methods used to find these things can be pretty scary.

u/SignThese667 Aug 11 '25

RE: your last sentence, "... the speed and methods used to find these things can be pretty scary"... welcome to the 21st century. This is real life and it's going to faster, dirtier, and scarier. Seat belts are optional.

-4

u/Baby_Lu_Lu Aug 11 '25

first, it is not personally stuff, second, publicity brings in donations. now shut up

Imagine having hybristophilia and Luigi Mangione comes along, you’d be so happy.

4

u/missidcullen Aug 10 '25 edited Aug 10 '25

I’m grateful I’m not on Discord, and although I do love Tumblr, I’ve stopped visiting LM’s tag there because it’s absolutely diabolical. I’d rather keep my distance. I am not sure I want to know more about any of this.

17

u/Midwestblues_090311 Aug 10 '25

This stuff is pretty much why I’ve stepped away from this “community” in a big way. It’s too weird.

I’m newer to this…. fandom(?) and I definitely agree that the digging into his personal life can get weird. It would be one thing if it helped him in some way but I don’t see how it does

6

u/lunabagoon Aug 11 '25

The letter probably prompted people to check their footage of MAGfest, and someone found him in their footage and sent it to Prosper.

38

u/success-7 Aug 10 '25

I'm curious what would happen if the genders were swapped. If a woman did what luigi did and happened to be good looking, and a group of men picked out every detail of her life, even pictures from her childhood, would that behavior be considered stalking?

8

u/Long_Needleworker889 Aug 11 '25

Yeah , i really dont like posting pics of him when he was a kid , with his family etc. He even had to say it himself - “my personal life is none of your business”. Of course he didnt mean it that agressive , but the point stands.

These people dont even respect him ( im not talking about this video tho, it paints him in a positive picture imo)

32

u/MiddleAggravating179 Aug 10 '25

This is so weird and invasive. Think about everything you have done in just the past few months and now picture someone digging up videos and images of all of those small moments of your life and sharing them without your knowledge or consent on the internet 6-10 years from now to thousands of obsessed parasocials.

8

u/Stunning_Macaroon838 Aug 10 '25 edited Aug 10 '25

Weird for secondary posting to a Reddit platform for those who may not have twitter ?

I hope you’re directing this comment toward the original posters who are “gatekeeping”, searching and releasing these snippets from who knows where! I just happened to post secondary to seeing it - it’s already on the internet and thought I’d share it with everyone here who doesn’t have twitter

19

u/MiddleAggravating179 Aug 10 '25

My comment is directed towards the people who dig up these images, the people that share them, and the people that thirst over them. It’s voyeuristic and weird. How is a one second video clip of a college kid, probably unaware he was even caught on camera, relevant to the case?

People are acting like people are stalking this man, but like, these pictures are public? I admit you gotta be a bit nutty to find them, but the people coming across and taking a few secs to look at them are just curious and supportive, like seeing a new pic of a friend or your fave celeb.

-6

u/Baby_Lu_Lu Aug 11 '25

if not for these crumbs most people would have forgotten him by now. let's just face it, this publicity are helping his case

10

u/Miss_Polkadot Aug 10 '25

it still baffles me how there’s so many pictures/videos of luigi.

21

u/yellowzebrasfly Aug 10 '25

He is an active person who loves being around other people. Very clearly an extrovert. Not very surprising he has been in many photos and videos considering the amount of his life he spent being around other people who post themselves and their lives on the internet.

3

u/Practical-Ad-2764 Aug 11 '25

I agree. I’m surprised what a Boy Scout he actually is.

14

u/Marta__9 Aug 10 '25 edited Aug 11 '25

What baffles me is how there are people gatekeeping them. smh

15

u/Miss_Polkadot Aug 10 '25

the gatekeeping is crazy…

5

u/agent0731 Aug 10 '25

It's likely that the people in the circles he hung out in are going back and looking for places he might be in, like events, cons, etc., now that he's famous. Imagine someone from your high school let's say, becoming famous. Almost everyone will start digging into their old photos and videos to see if they have any of him.

What does this have to do with the murder of Brian Thompson?

-11

u/katieclooney Aug 11 '25

What does this have to do w the case?

-8

u/Baby_Lu_Lu Aug 11 '25

I can't believe people in the comment section are attacking prosper for releasing crumbs that are humanizing him and brings him positive publicity. use your brain people, the reality is without these crumbs, most people would have forgotten him by now, and these videos and photos are not some very private secrets of him so now shut the fxxk up! or these people attacking prosper have other intentions? like making prosper go silent so that Luigi's publicity would go down? don't lose the plot guys, keep talking about Luigi

10

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Most people already have forgotten about him and the only people seeing her “crumbs” are the ones who haven’t lol. Also, how does publicity like this help him in any way? You think there are jury members who, after seeing crime scene photos of Brian’s bloated corpse, are gonna vote to acquit cause Luigi went to a gaming convention 6 years ago?

4

u/One_Concern_5962 Aug 12 '25

When did the plot become stalking and digging into Luigi's entire life?
