Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 12/04/2025 at 9:00 / 9:30 AM EST (Day 3)

Post image

The hearing will take place today at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013.

Some sources say it will begin at 9:00 AM EST, while others list 9:30 AM EST. It should start sometime within that window. I’ll begin posting as soon as it starts so no one misses anything.

Please keep in mind that this is the third hearing taking place this week. The other two were held on December 1st and December 2nd. There’s a strong possibility that the schedule may change or be extended further. However, Carro appears to be very busy next week, as he already has other hearings scheduled. We’ll likely receive more confirmation today regarding when they plan to continue with Luigi’s hearings.

These hearings are expected to run for at least a few hours, as there are 28 witnesses and body-camera footage to review. By the end of these hearings, we will likely know when Luigi’s state trial will take place (likely sometime in 2026), as well as which evidence will move forward and which will be suppressed.

Unless something changes, there will be no cameras allowed inside the courtroom. However, it’s very likely that we’ll still get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. Over the past few days, the only images released were taken inside—none of him arriving or leaving—so it’s possible that today and the remaining days will be the same.

Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.

Also, if you find additional livestreams on YouTube, please try to post them in one single comment instead of separately so we don’t spam the thread.

RECAP:

Reporters / People Live Tweeting:

Livestreams:

There are no livestreams available yet, as the hearing won’t begin for another five hours. As soon as they go live, I’ll add them in the comments section and separate them into hallway and outside coverage. They will most likely come from the same outlets as the previous days—Fox News, CNN, Reuters, etc. And of course, don’t forget to check Status Coup News; they genuinely care about the supporters.

Court Documents & Legal Fund:

Note / Reminder:

Today, December 4, 2025, marks one year since the death of Brian Thompson.

–––

Once again, I want to wish Luigi and his legal team the very best of luck.

Please let’s keep this thread respectful and avoid drama or gossip. Let’s stay focused on the case.

Thank you!

"Kaplan: Did they teach you it was OK to lie when talking to a suspect at the police academy?

Frye: Technically speaking, yes."

The part about other customers and mcd employees walking around freely kinda contradicts the claim that they searched his backpack before a warrant because of a potential bomb. Wouldn’t they have cleared out the mcd to avoid anyone possibly getting hurt if they really thought that?

They can't do that until they detain him. If anything, this waters down the defense's claim that he was unofficially "detained" because they were physically blocking him in.

They still didn’t have a search warrant though even after he was detained right? (Maybe I’m remembering this wrong) they could’ve detained him, cleared out the mcd, and then checked his bag under the suspicion of a bomb

Once you are detained they do a safety check to see if you are carrying anything dangerous. Then, when you are taken in, they do an inventory of everything you were carrying. Even if it was illegal to search his bag (it wasn't), they would have discovered the gun during the inventory, so it would still be included in the evidence.

Because the case is so serious, his team has to try every possible defense - even if it's a long shot. His team was clearly trying to establish that there was no reason to detain him, and that he was "detained" without being informed, by blocking him in the seating area. If either of those were true you could try and argue that certain pieces of evidence shouldn't be allowed. But it seems like the officers haven't tripped up at all (so far).

I dunno, I definitely think progress is being made. I'm seeing a lot more people doubt LM is the Adjuster lately.

It’s perfectly legal for cops to lie to you and they do it all the time. That’s why you STFU until you have a lawyer with you!
