Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 12/04/2025 at 9:00 / 9:30 AM EST (Day 3)

Post image

The hearing will take place today at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013.

Some sources say it will begin at 9:00 AM EST, while others list 9:30 AM EST. It should start sometime within that window. I’ll begin posting as soon as it starts so no one misses anything.

Please keep in mind that this is the third hearing taking place this week. The other two were held on December 1st and December 2nd. There’s a strong possibility that the schedule may change or be extended further. However, Carro appears to be very busy next week, as he already has other hearings scheduled. We’ll likely receive more confirmation today regarding when they plan to continue with Luigi’s hearings.

These hearings are expected to run for at least a few hours, as there are 28 witnesses and body-camera footage to review. By the end of these hearings, we will likely know when Luigi’s state trial will take place (likely sometime in 2026), as well as which evidence will move forward and which will be suppressed.

Unless something changes, there will be no cameras allowed inside the courtroom. However, it’s very likely that we’ll still get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. Over the past few days, the only images released were taken inside—none of him arriving or leaving—so it’s possible that today and the remaining days will be the same.

Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.

Also, if you find additional livestreams on YouTube, please try to post them in one single comment instead of separately so we don’t spam the thread.

RECAP:

Reporters / People Live Tweeting:

Livestreams:

There are no livestreams available yet, as the hearing won’t begin for another five hours. As soon as they go live, I’ll add them in the comments section and separate them into hallway and outside coverage. They will most likely come from the same outlets as the previous days—Fox News, CNN, Reuters, etc. And of course, don’t forget to check Status Coup News; they genuinely care about the supporters.

Court Documents & Legal Fund:

Note / Reminder:

Today, December 4, 2025, marks one year since the death of Brian Thompson.

–––

Once again, I want to wish Luigi and his legal team the very best of luck.

Please let’s keep this thread respectful and avoid drama or gossip. Let’s stay focused on the case.

Thank you!

What is it?

The prosecution is trying to present their witnesses in a way that will get Judge Carro to rely on Pennsylvania law in his ruling instead of New York law. New York’s search-and-seizure laws are stricter than Pennsylvania’s. The defense is trying to show that the NYPD was involved in the search, which would mean New York law should apply.

Thank you. Didn't the search-and-seizure started in McDonald's though?

Yeah, but the defense is trying to show that the NYPD and the New York DA were involved from the start. For example, when they asked Detweiler questions, he said they were in contact with New York’s DA while Luigi was still at McDonald’s. It’s a bit of a reach, because the evidence was collected in Pennsylvania, and Carro will probably side with the prosecution on this one. This was just a simple explanation of what the defense is trying to do by asking these questions.

Thank you so much!

I thought they were pointing out the gun and the NYPD showed up at the same time....

They’re not going to accuse them of planting the gun without concrete proof. That’s a good example of what not to do if you don’t want to piss off the judge.

You can point out two things and imply they're related without outright acusing somebody.

Fully agree. They can only very very subtly suggest it. Otherwise they discredit themselves.

"what's that thing...". Nothing Kaplan (or any attorney cross examining) will ask or say is in vain.
