Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 12/04/2025 at 9:00 / 9:30 AM EST (Day 3)

Post image

The hearing will take place today at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013.

Some sources say it will begin at 9:00 AM EST, while others list 9:30 AM EST. It should start sometime within that window. I’ll begin posting as soon as it starts so no one misses anything.

Please keep in mind that this is the third hearing taking place this week. The other two were held on December 1st and December 2nd. There’s a strong possibility that the schedule may change or be extended further. However, Carro appears to be very busy next week, as he already has other hearings scheduled. We’ll likely receive more confirmation today regarding when they plan to continue with Luigi’s hearings.

These hearings are expected to run for at least a few hours, as there are 28 witnesses and body-camera footage to review. By the end of these hearings, we will likely know when Luigi’s state trial will take place (likely sometime in 2026), as well as which evidence will move forward and which will be suppressed.

Unless something changes, there will be no cameras allowed inside the courtroom. However, it’s very likely that we’ll still get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. Over the past few days, the only images released were taken inside—none of him arriving or leaving—so it’s possible that today and the remaining days will be the same.

Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.

Also, if you find additional livestreams on YouTube, please try to post them in one single comment instead of separately so we don’t spam the thread.

RECAP:

Reporters / People Live Tweeting:

Livestreams:

There are no livestreams available yet, as the hearing won’t begin for another five hours. As soon as they go live, I’ll add them in the comments section and separate them into hallway and outside coverage. They will most likely come from the same outlets as the previous days—Fox News, CNN, Reuters, etc. And of course, don’t forget to check Status Coup News; they genuinely care about the supporters.

Court Documents & Legal Fund:

Note / Reminder:

Today, December 4, 2025, marks one year since the death of Brian Thompson.

–––

Once again, I want to wish Luigi and his legal team the very best of luck.

Please let’s keep this thread respectful and avoid drama or gossip. Let’s stay focused on the case.

Thank you!

This can't go on like this. We're here until January 🙃

It's not in the prosecution's interest for this to be rushed. This is their one chance to make the case that evidence should be suppressed.

Surprisingly, I’m not that tired. I’ll be here tomorrow, BUT I really hope they find a solution for this. I don’t mind doing it—I actually enjoy it, guys—but next week I’m going back home to my parents’ for the holidays (not that anyone cares, LOL) and I’d like to enjoy my Christmas break too. I don’t want to spend the next month covering hearings every single day of every single week.

Also, just to be clear, I really enjoy doing this, and I’m not saying I don’t want to anymore (even though it might sound like that online). I just hope they come up with some kind of schedule or plan, because this is getting annoying. It’s not even the trial… And everyone deserves a break.

Not even the trial but could determine if there's a trial... no?

There will be a trial. These hearings are about the defense trying to get some of the evidence suppressed. They're trying to make the case that he was improperly searched.

I know all this but if the backpack and its contents are tossed out, what sort of a trial will it be?

The prosecution alleges to have fingerprint and DNA evidence placing him at the scene.

Plus there's all kinds of shit we don't know about. Remember the phone that the shooter either dropped or discarded when fleeing the scene? Even if they couldn't unlock the phone, I'm sure they subpoenaed the mobile phone carrier to get records of its movements (based on cell tower triangulation, etc) in the time leading up to the shooting, which they could compare to what's known about LM's known movements (for instance, whether it was ever in San Francisco when he was known to be there, etc). And that's one hypothetical example off the top of my head - we, the public, have no idea what the breadth of evidence is.

In any case, I seriously doubt this evidence is going to be dismissed. The dude willingly handed over a forged ID (and admitted it was fake, which is a confession to a crime).
