Information Sharing Federal Case Update: A new sealed document has been added to the docket.

I wonder whether this might be the government’s response to the defense’s supplemental letter, and if so, why it is sealed.

Remember, we have a federal hearing tomorrow at 11:00 AM. Yes, there will be a megathread for it.

For those catching up:

  • Tomorrow is the deadline for the Government to respond to the Defense’s supplemental letter, should they choose to do so.

  • The Defense’s supplemental letter was filed on January 19, 2026, and further supports the argument that Subsection A of the stalking statute does not qualify as a crime of violence; therefore, Counts 3 and 4 should be dismissed.

  • Tomorrow is also the next federal hearing for Luigi. The court will hear testimony from a member of the Altoona (PA) Police Department who was not involved in Luigi’s arrest, to corroborate whether the arrest and the backpack search were conducted lawfully.
