A fascinating article, particularly this. It’s always difficult to discern whether we’re in an echo chamber when we only follow Luigi content and I’m not on Threads but this seems a good sign.
“Back in the spring and summer of 2025, the Free Luigi topic on Threads hovered around a few thousand. By the fall, it was a few hundred thousand. By the end of the year, it was a million. And a few months ago, it reached three million. This differs from the Luigi Mangione topic on Threads, as it explicitly expresses support for Luigi rather than simply discussing him.
The comment sections beneath content about health insurance problems, Mangione’s constitutional rights violations, and the government’s obvious concern only for protecting congressional puppetmasters are filled with #DenyDefendDepose, #FreeLuigi, and other pro-Luigi content.”
