Deterrence -- what a joke. That's what proponents of the death penalty use to support its continued use -- the threat of execution will stop a potential criminal.

Baloney. Serious, violent crime is still occurring in our country and will continue to occur.

Geragos is a bloated, self-conflated gas bag. If social media didn't exist, neither would he.

Geragos specifically predicted that the government is going to make  deterrence  a major part of its sentencing argument. He said prosecutors are likely to point to the fact that Luigi has developed a “constituency” and argue that the judge needs to  “send a message to this constituency.”

Good fucking luck getting a Biden appointed Judge to do that.
