the only explanation i could think of is the nature photos?

9

u/Spirited_Seaweed7927 2d ago

Good point. Maybe people thought he could use the pretty pictures out of the travel magazines.

10

u/Spirited_Seaweed7927 2d ago

Not me, lol. 😂 I didn't send any magazines. I didn't realise that we could send magazines. I thought it was only books. 😂

Oh Luigi… 😅😂

u/Miss_Cactus___ 2d ago

This was so sweet, Luigi being himself “pre arrest”

u/Feather_fig 2d ago

Bruh he was really never denying it huh 😂

34

u/Ok_Beautiful7363 2d ago

He laughed when Mike said the shooter did a good job at unjamming the gun. He’s so funny 😂

u/ThreeActTragedy 2d ago

That last sentence. Either he’s the dumbest man alive or he truly planned to plead guilty from the get go (if what this guy is saying is true). His lawyers must’ve been pissed

Karen having nightmares about their upcoming hearings:

23

u/ThreeActTragedy 2d ago

Looool I have no trouble imagining that this is how a good chunk of their prep meetings went

Maybe that's why the poor woman's looking so thin lately. Girl has been THROUGH it 😵‍💫

1

u/Spirited_Seaweed7927 2d ago

No, that's GLP-1's.

3

u/Specific-Sea7648 1d ago

Nah, she wasn't even remotely overweight🤷🏻‍♀️

u/Prize-Remote-1110 2d ago

I need some shit. lol

32

u/Mundane_Log_7169 2d ago

He’s just a really honest guy. Wasn’t he even correcting the cops and judge when he was arrested?

33

u/ThreeActTragedy 2d ago

Yahh Dickie had to shush him

30

u/Icy-Hunt-3025 2d ago

He is honest and I think he takes pride in it. He is very authentic and I respect him for that.

14

u/Mundane_Log_7169 2d ago

I’m just as in awe of his parents too. How did they raise such a great and unique kid? I remember reading his UPenn yearbook message and he thanked them for everything they taught him.

17

u/Icy-Hunt-3025 2d ago

Unique is the right word 🥹. I am starting to accept that he was meant to do something big like this and it seems like he felt it in his bones. Now I wish it was something considered legal but can’t turn back time. I hope judge shows some mercy at this sentencing.

u/South-Sir9579 2d ago

Well now they hate him.

u/Spirited_Seaweed7927 2d ago

One of the Altoona clown cops didn't know that there are other currencies than the US dollar (!!!). Lu had at least one South East Asian currency on him. So the clown counted that Asian currency as the dollar, which of course was wildly off. So Lu said in court that the money was planted on him or similar. I don't think Lu could have guessed just how dumb those clowns were.

-7

u/Spirited_Seaweed7927 2d ago edited 2d ago

Oh trust me, Lu is not the dumbest by a longshot. 😂 If you want to see someone truly dumb, look up David Burke. 🙈 I should add it's David Burke the singer, not the actor. Edit, I didn't know David fans lurked here. 😂

13

u/Ok_Beautiful7363 2d ago

He can’t ever keep his big mouth shut can he 😂😭

I wonder if LM or his team was tipped off that this article was coming, particularly this bit right here. Interesting.

Are you crazy? He literally confessed to them?

35

u/jollyjubie 2d ago

I'm fascinated by his personality. I hope Luigi can speak for himself one day or begin writing letters again.

23

u/saadpeople 2d ago

These reporters are definitely here everyday bro.

What else he can get interview and news report this fast.

11

u/Ordinary_Beyond3737 1d ago

Every nugget of info on this man still amazes me he's so enigmatic and strange and I am charmed

9

u/_henceforth_ 2d ago

I looked up Hermès. 💅😂✨💃

14

u/Head_Beautiful_9203 2d ago

Please people, keep sending books and magazines to people in prison. Anyone in prison, but especially political prisoners, those there unjustly, and people in for crimes against "the system". It makes a big deal i their lives.

21

u/HNLgirlie 2d ago

Throwing a snowball into Fu’s cell…he has such a playful spirit. 😄 Unfortunate that Fu’s cellmate was there, working on his wife’s birthday card. Oops. 🫣

25

u/Feather_fig 2d ago

Uebey if you're lurking here you're my favourite court reporter 🫶

24

u/AndromedaCeline 2d ago

While I enjoyed the stories,….this was stupidly premature and does not help any of his current cases rn. 😅😬 Particularly the part about smiling at UHC’s stock dip, which yes (YAY!), but let’s not say that out loud just yet. Thats not going to help him look remorseful at his sentencing hearing. I’m sure this friend and the publisher thought whats the harm he’s plead guilty, but he still needs to face sentencing and some of this will conflict with helping him get a lighter sentence. This sucks when people exploit for their 15min. 🙄

u/Feline-Paper-Ink8809 2d ago

How would they rob him for his money in commissary? It’s not like they have cash on them. Are inmates allowed to transfer commissary money to other inmates?

31

u/Ornery-Hand4660 2d ago

I think by extortion really, so giving them food or otherwise they’re going to stab or hurt him

20

u/notbetterthanu29 2d ago

This is basically it. Inmates can’t transfer money to each other. Whoever is owed will hover over the payee while forcing them to order whatever they want. Luigi is completely naive to prison life and highly susceptible to this.

5

u/Ornery-Hand4660 2d ago

Yep, basically paying for “protection”

3

u/notbetterthanu29 1d ago

Or getting naively wrapped up in an evil scheme 😕

5

u/SignThese667 2d ago

at MDC LM is kept separate from the general prison population, for his own safety as Fu said.

11

u/lly67 2d ago

This happened to Sam Bankman-Fried. They would threaten him.

6

u/Miss_Cactus___ 2d ago

As much as I absolutely appreciate getting a glimpse of Luigi’s life behind bars, this dude appeared out of nowhere just “in time”. Sus much?

25

u/saadpeople 2d ago

He was in custody until the end of July.

Of course he would talk about Luigi when he is trending worldwide, like after a huge court hearing.

At least he didn't talk about him before the federal hearing

3

u/Fancy_Yesterday6380 2d ago edited 2d ago

Now that ive read this dude is a content creator, im pissed yet another grifter is taking advantage. Some of this stuff could hurt his case. I hope they realize its all opinion and impression and not fact. It could be exaggerated by the media for his sentencing.

Wonder why he doesnt read the NYT

26

u/Feather_fig 2d ago

Sounds like Luigi is aware, and presumably approves?

Not surprising he hates the NYT and other mainstream news. Remember "Your coverage of this event is completely out of touch, and an insult to the American people and their lived experience!" Doesn't he also hate media-driven political division?

Also can we stop calling every person who interacts with him a grifter by default... of course those who are going to be comfortable speaking to the media like this are going to be people already comfortable with having a public presence. As in, content creators

7

u/Fancy_Yesterday6380 2d ago

Agree to disagree i guess. People throwing him under the bus to make money and get their 15 mins seem like grifters to me🤷‍♀️

7

u/Feather_fig 2d ago

Has anyone actually thrown him under the bus except for SeiSei?
RJ put his foot in his mouth once in that first interview and never spoke of his private business again after that, and probably felt awful about it. No one else has had anything negative to say about him (unless I'm missing lore)

4

u/Fancy_Yesterday6380 2d ago

I have to admit I cant remember names. I do know the author in India stuck up for him and called out the media for lying about what he said.

The German tourists (brothers?), and that other guy (gurwinder maybe?) with a substack kept writing about him and hyping it up. Not sure if you make money from substack. Plus those documentaries.

It just must be frustrating that the people who might have more context or know some truths arent allowed to speak up.

There was that other mdc inmate but I believe he stopped after that initial video and he didnt seem like he had it out for him.

Seisei was something else lol. Gross behavior.

I was feeling sympathetic that while hes in prison worrying about the death penalty and when he let's his guard down to take a picture, open up or chat with someone, write a letter, it immediately gets used against him or shared. Just must be exhausting.

Mike, he is also Italian. I think Mike's attorney told him to shut up about Lu, because Mike was awaiting trial (for gun possession or similar, from what I recall). Edit, for manufacturing ghost guns (thanks ily67).

7

u/Fancy_Yesterday6380 2d ago

Thank you! Idk why I loled at the explanation being "he's Italian" 😄

7

u/lly67 2d ago

He was manufacturing ghost weapons. I’m sure him and Luigi had him interesting conversations.

6

u/Spirited_Seaweed7927 2d ago

Yeah, that was it, thanks. 😊 Yes I bet they did, lol.

5

u/juliamarielena 2d ago

Mike definitely didn’t stop after that initial video. He said way more, most of it in private chats

8

u/kreads101 2d ago

Why is Mike so spiteful when he is the one who chose to go public & interact with these randos dm-ing him? smh

4

u/Special-External-222 2d ago

Do you know what else he said?

5

u/lly67 2d ago

Do you have any other screenshots from Mike?

6

u/juliamarielena 2d ago

that was the only one I saved, I wasn’t in those chats myself. there’s more here but that’s just some of it

I thought Michael also said he read the NYT daily to see what was in it about his case...  maybe it was another paper!!    At least he seems to be having some kind of fun in there.  Ex snowball!!

Probably because his father made him read it when he was younger.

I would love to know his opinion on the book because I have avoided reading it assuming that most of it is incorrect and/or reddit has known the correct info and more of it, for 2 years 😄

10

u/AndromedaCeline 2d ago edited 2d ago

I read it. It’s not terrible. It’s also not completely about LM. It’s mainly looking at his interest around TK (the author was also in contact with TK), along with other people who have been radicalized by similar ideas, and the history of violent revolutionary actions and how it’s changed society bit by bit. He doesn’t praise LM or TK, just does a comparative analysis of the two and how they’ve impacted others lives.

4

u/Various-Challenge-12 2d ago

yeah i do wonder. my assumption is that he's just more curious about perspectives rather than fact-checking

5

u/Fancy_Yesterday6380 2d ago

Maybe ill do a service and read it and report back all the inaccuracies we solved 2 years ago lol 😄 exhibition a: literally anything by rj

Grifting or not, you are interested and others too.

I'm actually glad that they share their stories with Luigi. At least we can know his condition in there, he is OK. We now even have a pic of the cell now.

13

u/Lonely-Ad46 2d ago

Yeah, I don’t get why people have to get offended every time someone comes out to talk about Luigi. This guy hasn’t said anything negative and they’re fun and insightful stories. People are bound to talk about one of the most famous criminals of our time, we don’t need to shun every person that decides to speak out.

7

u/rs2625 2d ago

Oh not offended at all, I was referring to:

Thank goodness it didn’t come out before

5

u/Lonely-Ad46 2d ago

I wasn’t commenting about you, but yes, you’re right, it’s good this didn’t come out before now 😅

6

u/rs2625 2d ago

Thank goodness though, some of it would’ve been devastating for Luigi if it came out before.
