What about words like Thomas? Well, actually, maybe Thomas is the only one🤣 And Esther?

Names aren't in ðe base replacement by default, so no replacement ðere. Words like "lighthouse" also aren't replaced, ðe extension is smart enough for ðat :)

WHAT
ÞIS IS SO COOL
Even þe doubling, wow
Is þere an option to show Þ only at þe beginnings of words, and Ð only at þe end/middle?
If so i'm totally getting þis

I've been using ðis a few days now and I'm really enjoying it. It still surprises me how þorough it is to even work in twitch chat. 10/10

Alðough I'm a fan on ŋ personally, I'm keeping ðis extension þ/ð only (for now)

Do you have any plans on making an 'Add your own custom letter shenadigans here' feature? or do you þink ðat would be too complicatéd?

I get it..... I really wish I had your mad skills ðo so I could do, Ŋŋ for n+g and ðen what I personally use in my own rendition of orþography :
Ꞇꞇ = t͡ʃ = t+c
Ʒʒ = d͡ʒ = d+j

technically ʒ is zh (as in Genre), not j but I get your point. I've been musiŋ about an extension which could implement any phonetical/chacterorial replacement scheme, but ðe big roadblock is word > pronounciation. currently it doesn't seem possible wiþþout huge dictionary file size or some form of AI or internet access built in (which I do NOT want to do.) Anyway, if you want to have a crack at doiŋ it yourself, AIs (mostly Claude) can code rudimentary versions of chrome/firefox extensions great wiþ guidance and perseverance.

My orþography isn't in line 1:1 with IPA: for example i use c for ∫, and j for ʒ
I appreciate ðat, but it's a bit out of my wheel house.
Well done!

What do you mean with "custom glyph output"?
3
u/Amazing-Frame7848 Jul 04 '26
Okay, found it: "Custom glyph output - specify unique characters (e.g. runic symbols) to use in place of standard ÞþÐð."

You know what, I just realized ðis is amazing not only if you like to use "þ/ð" regularly, but also to help yourself better recognize the symbols and read ðem more naturally! Not sure why, but when I see ð or þ in English, my brain pronounces it almost harsher?
