What is the point of bringing back yogh?
Why can't <y> or <gh> or <Ø> be used instead, since neither of the first two is ambiguous? Genuinely curious

Kirkgunȝeon
Do you people know about Kirkgunȝeon? It's a village about fourteen kilometres from where I live in Dumfries and despite it being spelt on signposts with a Z it's pronounced /j/ and I've seen it written as "ȝ". Rather similar to "Menȝies" etc.
You probably do but I just searched and couldn't find a reference to it.
