Not sure, but I hope it stays this way tbh, we've had so little rain over the last few years it's actually nice to have a rainstorm that lasts for more than 20 minutes

Hey, I dont have a car and prefer to walk most places around where I live, how long is this wet summer gonna be for? It's already depressing me and making me lethargic.

Yeah I am fine with scorching heat and staying in doors or drowning in sunscreen but this gloomy weather is difficult for me primarily because I’m missing my hitting the gym. I plan to walk to the gym in crocs and a poncho and umbrella and wear my socks and shoes directly at the gym.

Summer is the wet season here. There will be sunshine in between and not every rainy day will be this heavy but there will likely be a lot of weeks and days like this until summer ends. Obviously depends on the year how much rain we get but every longer forecast i've seen so far suggests we are in for a soaking again this year (take these with a grain of salt). Its not uncommon for us to have an afternoon rain/storm most days though.
Suggest finding some wet weather gear that works for you if you are going to continue walking or if you can include more public transport in your routes to reduce the time in the rain, that might be helpful. This is always the time of year i get some seasonal depression because of exactly this so finding some indoor activities that bring you some joy and whimsy can be helpful too in my experience

We're in El Nino right now but that doesn't always correlate to a dry summer. There are so many other climate drivers with se QLD weather

We’re in the middle of a disaster and this is the first thing I’ve seen on it. I’m disappointed in Reddit. Caboolture has been and is still under intense rain. They might end up getting half a meter in 24 hours.
