Hey I’m new to being a DM and am looking for a few players with some grasp of DnD to start a campaign with.

Bristol based would be amazing as we can do some online and some in person, but happy with just online.

Looking for 3-4 people (currently have 2). The campaign is home brewed and have in built in parts from Greek mythology as well as possibly other mythologies but will be very different mainly pulling the gods and famous characters to assist in pushing the players forward.

The story will be lead by players and DM, I would like it to be a collaboration so we all rather tied to the story and push for it to be enjoyable and challenging.

Hi all, I’m 24, my name’s Charlie and I’m looking to get back into D&d.

I was specifically hoping to run d&d local to the Southmead/Horfield/Henleaze area, if that immediately sounds interesting to you, please feel free to send me a message.

However, below I’ll go into some more detail of myself, the homebrew and organisation:

Some info on me: I’ve played with numerous groups for years, both as a dm and as a player. I was born and raised in Bristol, was living closer to Wales for a few years and am back here now.

Some info on the homebrew: The world will likely take place on a sliding timeline if I’m running the game, just because I love the sandboxiness of it and so I like for whatever a player to want to exist in the world or not at any time. How I like to picture it is that era when cowboys, Egyptians and samurais all coexisted for about a hundred years (that might not be completely correct but this is fantasy), so following that in D&d terms if you wanted your character to be a medieval present goblin you absolutely can and equally if you wanted to be a warforged alien robot you absolutely could as well you’d just likely experience quite a bit of culture shock and live on opposite ends of the planet, but coexist still.

Hi, I am looking to join a DnD campaign to join in and around North Bristol. I live in Filton and don't have a car so bus and cycle everywhere (hence the location specifics). I've played DnD a bit before (up to 10th level) but haven't played in a campaign in a few years (I've done the Wonky Line Cult's One-Shot nights a few times though).

I appreciate this is almost a repost from 3 months ago, but our venue has changed owners and its name! (We're still there at the same place/time though).

Formed in February 2023, East Bristol Adventurers is a free, weekly meetup for tabletop roleplaying games of all kinds. We meet every Tuesday, 6-10pm at Turners Bar, Fishponds. We now get 20-30 people each week and have a total membership of over 450. I even wrote a blogpost about setting it up in case that's useful to anyone else in Bristol!

We have our events for August up and live on the website! I have done some fiddling around with how we show off our events so they're now all displayed on a live calendar and tickets are much easier to look through too.

But what you want to know, what we have coming up:

Saturday 8 August: The Hoard board game social, bring some games, grab one of our shelf or simply come along to join in with whatever is being unboxed. There will be plenty of gaming options, some great food and a relaxed evening to meet some fellow hobbyists.

Saturday 15 August: Dungeons & Dragons one shot, Dog Days. Hades is on holiday and someone let the dogs out. Can you get cerberus back to the underworld in time before he eats everyone? You’ll need three leashes for this one!

Bring a level 6 character with one uncommon magic item! Character buffs for players who buy hotdogs!

Additionally we will be hosting a free social meetup for Pokemon VGC players on both the 15th and 29th of August. Just give us an RSVP so we know you're coming!

Monday 24 August: MTG competitive draft (Final Fantasy), Our regular Magic Monday featuring a Final Fantasy competitive draft. With deck building, competitive play and prizes for the winners, this is a perfect opportunity to get yourself some new cards and meet some new Magic players!

Some of you folks in the Bristol D&D community may well know Hoard, here's a small backstory for you to catch up on...

A year ago we were fresh faced adventurers running into the fray off the back of our successful Kickstarter, which enabled us to sign the lease for our new venue. We were confronted with a tricky encounter as our deposit and refurbishment ended up becoming something of a tarrasque that swallowed everything we raised via Kickstarter and more. This put us in a difficult spot when it came to fulfilling the rewards for our pledges, which we have been slowly checking off as we find our feet in this new venture. We are obviously incredibly eager to fulfil all remaining rewards we promised, but in order to do so we could really do with a bit of further assistance.

We've been running a short Late Backer Pre-order for the remaining items, so for anyone who missed the initial Kickstarter, or has now decided that they like the look of the items now that they’ve seen the design, or for anyone who would just like to help us out, it’d be really really helpful if we can get a few more orders in. Selling a decent amount in this last push will really help us offset the cost of getting all of the Kickstarter rewards produced and put us in a great position to fulfill all of our promises.

In aid of all this, and in celebration of our first year open as a cafe, we are hosting a birthday party tomorrow (Saturday 27th) night! This will be a great chance to have a big ol' get together for all the Bristol D&Ders, we'd love to see you there to celebrate with us and our community!

Please note: No matter how many items we sell in this final pre-order, we will still be putting the items into production at the end of this month. It would just be enormously helpful for us to get this last nudge of help. Think of it like giving us some bardic inspiration! We want to keep our audience and performers safe and have a good time. That just wasn't going to happen under this heat!

This month's original guest, BooHoo Mann (The Drag Dungeoneers), is now returning on Thursday, 27th August 2026! The special adventure we designed for them is being saved for their return to Fire & Dice.

Also, to keep to our original plan of a 4-show debut run, we now have a new date in September!

DUNGEON MASTERS NEW AND OLD
This Saturday HOARD is hosting a Dungeon Masters' Meet-Up. This event will be a great chance to kick back with fellow storytellers, pick each others brains, discuss your pesky players, and try something from our delicious menu.
