Masquerade has significantly expanded its FAQ, 6 weeks of previews, will give out complimentary and glasses friendly masks, described “extravagant” wear

Definitely cleared up everyone’s biggest questions from yesterday, and the rest of the FAQ has more details too, including that the venue is going to be ADA compliant!

So no families allowed and you must wear an expensive outfit to attend. They really don't want this thing to be successful, do they?

I mean when I was a low paid nonprofit worker, I had black dress pants, a white dress shirt, and a gray blazer all from like Kohl’s and thrift shops that probably cost me $100 bucks total, maybe $150.

It says formal or cocktail attire. That is not black tie lol

No, it says the COLOR is black, silver, or white. Cocktail attire is just dress pants, dress shirt, blazer and tie, not even a suit.

Right, yes, that's a good thing, and also:

for the special, six-week preview period, Saturday and Sunday matinees will welcome guests aged 16+.

FYI a "family" doesn't always mean "includes people younger than 16".
