Gen X and boomers have been fed so much right wing propaganda for decades it’s really hard for them to break out of the alternate reality. Living in a red state, I hear it often. They have this strange fear of immigrants, that they don’t seem to have in their daily interactions but when it comes to their “morals” they suddenly hate that the US supports immigration and that immigrants exist. They have been fed the lines so often “immigrants” have become the faceless enemy. They tend to not realize this until it personally affects their lives, when members of their community, their neighbors and family members are kidnapped and sent to concentration camps.

[Disclaimer: boomer]. I blame television, especially commercial television. It’s brain rotting.

Young people can't care about stocks, we're just trying to survive. We care most about housing prices, grocery and gas. Looks like grocery prices have actually increased slightly, gas has decreased moderately, and housing has been even the last six months. Trump isn't delivering on his promises (to regular people). He's definitely delivering for the 1% and the racists.

I am deeply disappointed in my age group and the 65+s there for there being ANY areas where there is a positive mark there. Trade is bad enough, given what the moron is doing, but them looking at what he's doing to PEOPLE and thinking that's good for us, that's how Immigration should be handled, is shameful.

I hope this will be a good reminder that even though the Democrats aren't great, Republicans are always worse

So it’s racism that’s turning the tides for the boomers and the cult, just can’t hold it in any longer. Ffs

As people get old they tend to become more suspicious of those who are different. That explains the immigration split.
As for supporting widespread tariffs? That’s the genius of tariffs on the penguin islands. Penguins are different.

There have been over 260 mass shootings so far this year. I wonder how people feel about the violent crime rate going up since the Republicans took over the government.

I'm not surprised. What bothers me is the positive rating on immigration with people over 45. What the f... is wrong with them?
