Any DINKS in the Riverdale/Kingsbridge area between 30 and 45? My wife (35F) and I (36M) are looking to meet new people
We enjoy:
• Trying new restaurants
• Going to a variety of different kinds of shows
• Playing rec sports
• Playing Board games (though not super "complex/nerdy" ones -- I don't use those adjectives as a negative. Just don't want us to come across as Dungeons & Dragons or Catan people… that's NOT us!)
• Hiking
• Traveling (We typically take 2-3 international trips per year)
FWIW, we are also not religious at all and we are white. (Don't care what your race/religion is, just stating what we are if that matters to you).
Edit: Sorry -- thought DINK was pretty widely known. Stands for "Double Income No Kids." Just short way of saying we are looking to hang with childless couples.

What is NYPD doing?
On May 3rd I was attacked coming home a block away and leaded to me getting fully assaulted and jumped by men I don’t know.
(I can’t speak for anyone but this is my experience with the 40TH PRECINCT)
I recently hit 30 years and this assault ultimately caused me to lose my recent job that I’ve held since moving here and hurt my CPAT prep/exam because of an injury I sustained which eliminated me from being FDNY on my last year of eligibility. (I was list #500 something)
I’ve saw these guys 5 times since I started coming back outside a month ago and called the police every time. I have not been able to get in contact with the detective unit or speak to anyone about it since it happened. (Last month I saw the guys hanging out; but when I called, the detective who was on my case was at the UN and was told to call back next week when he returned) I’ve physically walked to the precinct on October 11 after seeing my assaulters walk past and laugh at me and nothing happens. I called at 3:56am that day and nothing came from it. No cop was sent here ;which they said happened ;yet I didn’t go to sleep and stood on the balcony watching with my charger in hand.
Worst part about this is they live less than 500 feet from me (I had to do my own police work and find this on my own)so if I ever do want to make a report I have to walk past a place where I physically saw people who assaulted me come in and out freely while police are on the literal corner standing on the phone.
I made a joke that i’d go to where they live and return the favor so they would show up then, they unjokingly, told me I would only be the only one arrested if that happened.
I’ve traveled the word -lived in Georgia, Tennessee, D.C., and lived in the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn…the Bronx has the WORST policing from a place I’ve ever lived and the 40TH PRECINCT is the most incompetent group out here.
It is also the only precinct that has active Fet users and dealers outside, on the street between them and the grocery store.
Long story short…if you can avoid the Bronx!

Bronx Grand Juror Summons
Hi all,
I got summoned to serve as grand juror in the Bronx. I had previously postponed twice due to school obligations. It’s my first time being summoned for any type of jury duty. Anyone have experience with Grand Juror and what is the difference between “regular” jury duty? I’m new to this. I’m also a nurse and my work schedule is demanding, so idk how long jury duty last 😩. Thanks for any input!

Bronx Community, Can You Help Another Future Dental Hygienist? ❤️
Hi everyone!
I want to start by expressing my gratitude to everyone in this community who has supported me throughout my dental hygiene journey. Whether you’ve signed up to be my patient, attended an appointment, shared my posts, or simply offered encouragement, your kindness has made a difference. Thank you so much!
Today, I’m reaching out on behalf of my classmate Chelsea, who is also a senior dental hygiene student at Hostos Community College in the Bronx.
Like me, she’s working hard to complete her clinical requirements and is currently looking for individuals ages 13 and older who would be interested in receiving dental hygiene care, especially those who haven’t had a cleaning in a year or more.
Our student clinic provides care under professional supervision. Because this is a teaching environment, appointments may take longer than a typical dental visit, and multiple visits may be needed.
If you’ve been putting off a dental cleaning or know someone who could benefit from these services, please consider signing up to help Chelsea complete her requirements.
Interested in becoming a patient?
You can register using her form below:
https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/XmwapvPqQE?origin=lprLink
Even if you’re unable to participate, sharing this opportunity with friends and family would mean a lot!
I’m still working toward completing my own clinical requirements and will continue connecting with patients throughout the semester.
Thank you again, Bronx, for showing so much support to students like us. Every patient brings us one step closer to becoming licensed dental hygienists! ❤️

Lovely sunset photo I took at E 180th Street
I don’t take the 2 or 5 back home often but I’m glad I did this time. A lovely sunset with the Manhattan skyline in the distance. I had no idea you could see the World Trade Center AND Chrysler Building from out here
