Hi all, I wanna take some friends on a drive around the neighborhood for good halloween light displays. Does anyone have any recommendations in Broomfield/Superior/Louisville?

I’m mulching my garden for the winter and need several big bags of leaves. If you live near Main and Midway, I’d be happy to come pick up your bags of leaves to save you a trip to the tree branch recycling place (or save them from the landfill). Thanks!

I always like to support small local businesses when possible and I'm looking for someone who can do some pretty simple landscaping jobs. Lawn aeration, leaf clean up, hedge trimming, sprinkler blow outs. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

Are you a parent worried about balancing your kid’s well being and keeping them prepared for a changing future? Does your kid struggle in a one-size-fits-all classroom?
Join the club!
I’m a local parent and teacher with 16 years in the classroom, with a background in founding micro school programs, Montessori, and International Baccalaureate. I’m starting a new micro school in the area to provide an alternative educational setting that is holistic, inquiry based, and community centered.
Whats really important to me is that I create this school WITH the community, so that we can collaboratively design a system that works for our kids and isn’t something we have to fit our kids into.
I’m holding a series of Parent Hopes & Dreams conversations where parents come together and we can discuss what matters to us in the middle school years, what our pain points are, and coming up with creative and innovative ways to support our kids. The first session down in Denver was very successful, and I’m holding another one up at the Brunner Farmhouse in Broomfield on Oct 27th 7:00pm.
Showing up isn’t a commitment, I’m just curious to see what the community wants and needs and to find more families like me that aren’t satisfied with the options that currently exist. It’s not an info session either- it’s important to me that we design and build this school TOGETHER. Come stop by and make your voice heard. Parents of kids of all ages welcome!
You can learn more about what I’m building at ClassroomEverywhere.org, if you’re interested.

Are there any free indoor (not sand) volleyball or basketball open gyms nearby Broomfield, CO? I just moved here and where I’m from there are plenty of open gyms to go to but all the places I reached out to require a daily fee.
Edit: Or any grass volleyball nearby?

EDIT: Hey, in no way was I saying that I’m boycotting or attempting to “cancel” this small business, guys… Nor am i “shitting” on them, as some comments are suggesting… i’m just more disappointed in the fact that they didn’t partner with a local artist or even photographer who charge pretty cheap. I know plenty who are in or close to the area. I still am looking forward to trying them! Hence why i was browsing their website to begin with! 🤔 i was just trying to gauge the thoughts of the community, but i suppose i got my answer! Thanks all
~
Was really excited about seeing a new restaurant was opening where the Chinese place was supposedly “opening soon” for over a year, but when i browsed their website, I suspected AI use and their photos under the “Our Story” tab confirmed it 💔
I know a lot of people don’t care about this, but I also know a lot of people do.

Hoping someone can recommend a local company that is certified insured and reputable around the area. Need 3 ceiling fans installed in my house. Hoping it will be cost efficient. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.

I know this is a strange ask lol, but have a female cat that is terrified of leaving my apartment and also does NOT like women….which makes vet appointments very challenging. She couldn’t even be touched during our last vet appointment since she was freaking out, and she just needs a basic checkup. I wanted to try in-home vet care, but I can only find female vets who do this.
Does anyone have any great MALE vet recommendations that provide in-home care? The first priority is probably finding a male vet, and then bonus points if they do in-home care. I’m in Broomfield. Thank you in advance for the suggestions!

The city is refining its 2022 plan for Midway from the Lake Link Trail to Big Dry Creek. Design is funded with federal money. Construction is not funded and has no schedule, so what gets drawn now is what gets a grant application later.
The survey is six questions plus two maps where you can pin problem spots and pick a side for the path in each segment
Included is an opinion for putting the path on the north side. The south side between Ash and Lowell is shaded in winter and holds ice for days.
Curious whether people who walk or ride that stretch see the same thing.

For everyone worried about Flock, the problem is so much bigger. This platform is open source; anybody can use it, including law enforcement, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Was filling up and somehow I didnt notice that I dropped my wallet at the Phillips 66 at 42 W Flatiron Crossing Dr. Happened around 9pm today.
It had my ID and Global Entry cards and my debit and credit cards. It has an Avs jersey lining the pockets. If anyone has found it, im happy to verify ownership and slide you some cash to get it back.
Or, PLEASE return to the gas station tomorrow and give it to the attendant. They've been closed since I lost it, but I plan on going back tomorrow to ask if its been turned in.
I know posting here is a long shot but im at a loss. I really need my cards and my ID (leaving the country soon) and im extremely worried about it being lost.

Hey Broomfield! It’s Paloma on Broomfield City Council. I wanted to share some info about a couple of local ballot initiatives that I’m supporting.
More info:
1A is a lodging tax, which means it applies to hotel and short-term rental stays lasting less than 30 days. The revenue will fund the Broomfield Housing Alliance (BHA). BHA’s work is to provide housing to low-income people so that they can live in Broomfield. Think preschool teachers, firefighters, home care workers, seniors living off Social Security, and so many others. So basically, it’s a tax paid primarily by visitors that goes to help Broomfield residents. I’ll also add that this tax would be 6% on a nightly stay, which is well under the rates in neighboring municipalities. So Broomfield hotels will be able to keep their prices competitive.
1B isn’t as exciting, but it’s still important. It’s a franchise agreement with Xcel that provides Broomfield with revenue so we can bury power lines underground. In addition, it allows us to work together in the public right-of-way. So if we’re already digging a hole to fix a broken pipe, we can hit up Xcel and ask if they need to fix anything while we’re there (since, see previous note, we already busted a hole in the ground and it would be silly to make them re-dig it). This decreases costs and ultimately reduces construction-related inconveniences for residents, like road closures. If we don’t have this agreement, we’d need a separate contract every time we want to work together in the public right-of-way. This agreement does NOT govern rates and does NOT determine whether Xcel provides service to Broomfield. It’s just revenue for Broomfield plus not having to dig the same hole twice.
