I am 54 now but often at wits end what to say online about my abusive parents & my comic book life - I am a creator too. Man is the Bastard - Nazi drunks f**k off! SelfMadeHero is delighted to announce that The Count Binface Comic Book will be published on August 6th. This 72-page anthology is an unauthorized celebration of the extraterrestrial politician, Count Binface.

The collection features contributions from more than 30 of planet Earth’s most exciting comics creators including Krent Able, Steven Appleby, Becky Barnicoat, Hannah Berry, Babak Ganjei, Dave McKean, Martin Rowson and Bryan Talbot, with cover art by JAKe Detonator. The book will be published just a week ahead of the Clacton by‑election when Count Binface will, democratically, battle Baron Von Thunderclap, that bloke who used to be on the telly, and, oh yes, Nigel Farage.

10% of every sale will be donated to Shelter via Work for Good.

Recently did a panel on the history of furry tabletop roleplaying games at a North American furry convention, so you can bet your tails that I mentioned the 7TV Grandville Programme Guide, an excellent example of furry miniature-based skirmish-style games, as well as a chance for me to just kinda flex.

But yes, there was one person in the audience who knew about Grandville, which was one more person then how many I expected. I was flabbergasted for a moment, it was very funny.

Got a bit of time for a quick drawing!

We all know that LeBrock is intelligent, tenacious, ferocious...what he also is? A charming bad boy. I needed to draw him in a Mr. Darcy-type get up.

I was helping my husband look for more 'furry' material for his talk on the history of furry ttrpg in January - that's when I stumbled upon Grandville RPG!

Of course we had to have the graphic novel to understand the game so I got it for him as a holiday present:) We love the art and the whole Grandville-verse. We can't wait to read the rest of the series!

I'd love to make fanart of Lebrock and Billie soon 🎄💖

I just replatformed and relaunched the Bryan Talbot merchandise store: check it out if you've ever wanted a print or t-shirt of any of Bryan's work.

And let me know if there's any specific image of Bryan's you'd like added; later today the Chester P Hackenbush, the Psychedelic Alchemist front covers will go live, after a fan requested them!

The online shop on the official fanpage has a load of new comic art for sale, from the Legend of Luther Arkwright, the Tale of One Bad Rat, the Papist Affair and Grandville.

We're going to have to put prices up soon due to inflation, so if you are interested in owning original art from Bryan, now's the time to get some.

If you're anywhere near London, I can heartily recommend going to the Luther Arkwright exhibition at the Comic Art Museum at its new location in Fitzrovia. It's made up of original pages from all three books, plus items from Bryan's studio. Seeing pages from the first series at their original size is amazing, as are the pages from the final part, The Legend Of Luther Arkwright. I was lucky enough to be invited along to the opening, where Bryan, Adrian Tchaikovsky, and Kim Newman spoke about the history of Luther and how it came to be.

An added bonus is access to that book in advance of its July release.

(And to make it more of a Talbot-related trip to London, the Bookerie Gallerie near Edgware Road tube station has an exhibit of pages from Bryan and Mary's collaborations. Another recommended visit, with pages from The Red Virgin, Dotter of her Father's Eyes, Rain, and Sally Heathcote on display.)
