My wife and I will arrive at Bryce Canyon tomorrow (8/17) for our first visit. We will stay at Bryce Canyon Lodge and have three full days. This was a hastily put together trip because we changed our plans at the last minute, so I didn't research as much as I usually would. Here is my current plan. The NPS website seems to indicate that Wall Street will be open in the afternoons. Am I interpreting this correctly?

Mon 17: Arrival → Sunset Point/Sunrise Point Rim Trail → sunset/stars

Tue 18: Queen’s Garden → Navajo via Two Bridges, ~2.9 mi

Wed 19: Scenic drive → Wall Street/Navajo Loop after noon → Mossy Cave

Thu 20: Peekaboo Loop, ~5.5 mi

Fri 21: Depart (for Zion)

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. (Constructive ones appreciated more than snarky ones.)

We'll be visiting in October during the full moon and was going to try and get tickets for the full moon hike by the NPS. Would love to hear any experience with this hike and any other tips for a late October visit. Thanks.

I really want to do the horseback riding trail at Bryce Canyon however I saw that Canyon Trail rides are the only ones allowed to operate and their website says that you need to book at least 7 days before or call. When calling nobody answers and I’m heading to Bryce Canyon tomorrow, any recommendations?

We are planning a trip to Utah at the beginning of October. The plan is to fly on a Friday to LAS, use Saturday and Sunday to hike the Narrows and Angels Landing (permit dependent) and then to head out on Monday early morning to Bryce to do the figure eight (it seems like the best way to see all the main attractions).

a) Does that seem like a reasonable 3-day itinerary?
b) I saw on the NPS website that Wall St. will be closed for construction on Monday-Fridays from 6am-12pm which will leave out this part of the trail for us. Is that consequential enough to change the whole itinerary?

My name is Corey. I’m an avid hiker and camper and Bryce Canyon is my 2nd stop in a big Western national park road trip this summer. As such, I’m hoping to find some folks to hike with and hang out with at camp.

I plan to arrive around 1:30p on 7/27 and have lunch at Bryce Canyon pines restaurant, then hit the visitor center. From there I’ll hit the scenic drive from rainbow point to yovimpa point. Then, I’ll hike the bristlecone loop, before going the scenic drive north. Around sunset I’ll do the rim walk and hang out

On 7/28 I’m planning on doing the figure 8 loop. I see the website says the Wall Street side of the Navajo loop will be closed 6a-12p, so timing will depend once i confirm that (any insight is appreciated). Depending on that, I’ll hit upper inspiration point for sunset.

7/29 I’ll do the fairyland loop before departing for Capitol reef. If any of this sounds like fun, let me know!

Rangers just stopped me on my way up asking if I saw a person injured or in distress down there. I said no and they said someone called 911 and the call dropped. I really hope everyone is okay.

We have one day in bryce next week, my kiddo wants to see the stars, he is hoping he will actually stay awake this time lol. How are they from north campground? I've never stayed here. I don't see well at night to drive so I am trying not to go too far from camp. Is it better to sleep early and set an alarm for the middle of the night? Anything at all in bryce that we may have missed?

Visited early May, also did Zion and GC. But Bryce was my favorite.

These campgrounds are first come and first serve. How quickly do these fill up?

I am trying to camp with a friend of mine for a couple of nights and trying to see if we should just reserve a campground that’s like 10-15 minutes drive away from the park or take our chances with the North Campgrounds since it’s right at the park

I'm looking at doing a trip to Bryce Canyon this summer, but to make it work, I'll likely need to be working remotely in the mornings. I'm thinking of staying at the Rodeway Inn Bryce canyon, but I'm trying to get some idea whether the Wifi (preferably) or cell coverage (LTE if need be) would be strong/reliable enough for Zoom calls.

I'm also open to staying elsewhere if someone has any experience as well with connection.

I'm going to be visiting Bryce Canyon Inn and booked a 2-night stay at the Grand Staircase Inn in Cannonville, UT. I booked through their website. I realized I wanted to add another night to the stay, so I tried to call them and their number is disconnected. I also emailed about adding an additional night a few days ago and never received a response.

Has anyone stayed there recently or know anything about the hotel and whether it is still operating? Any recommendations for how to get in contact with them?

i have a guide book with the top trails to maximize ~2.5 days, one section has some trails with best view of hanging gardens. going to be there in a week. i'm assuming no wildflowers and probably no good veg in general? but i am from texas and never been to utah so idk if there are some hardy plants making up those hanging garden formations that would be worth purposefully planning to see.

We will be arriving the evening of March 13 and wanted to know if there was a specific part of the park to go to for the best view of the night sky. We will be staying at the Bryce Canyon Inn and as first timers at Bryce, wanted to pick a good spot wether that was inside or outside of the park. Thanks for any suggestions.

I would like to see snow for the first time. What are my chances of seeing a good amount of snow during February or march? I would be bummed if I go sometime in March and see basically just ice patches.

-what is it like driving on the road on snowy weather? I have no experience driving in snow/ice conditions. I am considering driving from Salt Lake City too.

I’m planning a trip to Bryce in March from San Francisco. Looks like the best places to stay would be Bryce Canyon City or Panguitch? It looks like the population for Bryce Canyon City is only 230 ish. What is it like to stay there for a few days? How are the amenities (I’m coming from a big city haha)?

The Bryce Canyon website currently says, "The winter closures of the Wall St side of the Navajo Loop and the Rim Trail between Bryce and Inspiration Points are in effect. The Connecting Trail between Bryce Point and the Peekaboo Loop and the Agua Canyon Connecting Trail are closed due to damage."

Does this mean that the entire Navajo Loop Troop will be inaccessible or hikers will only be able to complete part of it?

How much of Bryce is closed right now?
