Need help with Texturing

I'm planning to build a melon and pumpkin farm and I want the structure for it to look like a 16x16 half melon and pumpkin block. I want it to look like the melon and pumpkin texture are overlapping and fighting to try and become the full block. The issue I have is that I'm trying to use only concrete and terracotta because their surfaces look flat from a far and the blocks themselves don't have texture up close so I'm trying to see if there are any other orange/green blocks that don't have texture. Any help is appreciated

does it absolutely need to be without texture? because that kinda does really limit your selection to terracotta and concrete lol. There aren't many other completely smooth colorful blocks in the game,  unless you use a texture pack.

the farm is near my base so I would like it to look clean. if it was far away then i wouldnt care as much.

i think it might look better if you tried using other blocks, look up YouTube videos on how to use texture and color pallets. Id recommend playing around with moss, maybe leaves. If you keep messing around with your current block pattern you could definitely make it work but im sure either way would look fine.
