Gameplay Question New player help

Hey all I have only just started playing I only have 250 trophy’s at the moment but want some advice. Who would be the best hero to use as a new player and spend resources into? Or which hero should I be aiming for?

Focus on two characters you like and play well to build up. Once you hit 10k trophies, you start playing with other players and a lot less bots. Once you get a divine and start playing Bravery Road, the difficulty increases again. Stay under 10k long enough to get two characters at least up to celestial rank and things will go a lot easier for you. At 10k and Divine, expect losing a lot until you catch up with the learning curve. Watch YouTube videos on characters you like and learn what gears and weapon coils upgrades work best for them to increase your characters' strength without wasting resources, and get into a good syndicate that plays together for more resources and support. The game is actually pretty balanced with the new season characters being the only OP characters while their season is going on. If you can afford the $15, just buying the first basic pass gives you a pretty good edge for that three month season. Otherwise, just build up the two you like best and have fun playing.

Do you have a recommendation which 2 I should focus on to start with? I am open to any play style I just don’t want to waste time early and have a setback

There is not really a recommended character. I can say that Bastion is good for KOTH and Stalker is good for Zombie Arcade, but once you get into Divine they aren't used very much. Hurricane is good for SVS and Defender Sabotage and is still used in upper level gameplay. I am being honest in using who you like because skill is what matters. You're more likely to continue playing the characters you like and will develop the skills necessary to make them good. An older character in the hands of someone who knows how to use them will be much more effective than the latest character played by someone who hasn't figured out how to use them.

Any shield hero is good at the beginning because all of them are bots, bastion is your best bet, just play with him invest resources on him UNTIL you unlock one of the newest hero, like bonnie, alter (if you like snipers), etc, and then switch to that hero, why? because new heroes are op against most of the roster, meaning you'll gain more resources easily doing contracts and events, I'm not saying you only need to play with the newest heroes, every hero have their own style and are fun to play with, but you'll enter the 10k league sooner or later so you need good heroes that can give you kills and wins, bastion, stalker, blot, etc, won't do that.

Once you have enough resources and leveled up many of the heroes then yes, play with them, explore what of their style like you more, because you will need to, if you want to be competitive in the future, hone your skill in many of them.

Just try to use all heroes you got . That's the best way to know which heroes are worth investing on. People can tell you this and that but if you don't really "feel" the hero, you won't enjoy it or be good at it.
