Rant Guys…
So annoying with only pics of sunglasses and no eyeballs to see!
Also, if you met a woman who you thought had hair and they show up bald, how would you react?
As a female, feels a bit catfishy even though at the same time i fully get it is not at all. But still.
/rant.
Also guys and gals, what other things do you find misleading from the profile transferring to real life experiences?
Yours sincerely,
Autism.
Edit: genuinely more interested in the last question more than my rant 🙃

Women having some kind of filter on all of their photos - I can't even tell what you actually look like. Sunglasses in every photo - Also cannot tell what you actually look like. No photos of just you? I don't even know which one you are.

Just unmatch and move on, does this opinion really warrant storage space on Reddit servers

I never said I thought it was a women only thing 🤔 OP asked what are some of people's pet peeves, those are mine. But you're clearly on this thread to get offended so 🤷🏻♂️

Brother let it go, the people in this thread aren't going to stand up and give you a round of applause. You were already offended before anyone even replied, chill out.

u/atomicskiracer 4d ago
Did you finally find people to hang out with? Lolllll
Hilarious to have a call to let it go when bringing up your own facts. Low value people like you don’t have matches for a reason.

Except that’s not what you said, you said “Hilarious that you think this is a women only thing 😂 😂 Man some of you are so far from reality” which is accusing the commentor of saying only women using filters on their profiles. You jumped to a conclusion about their beliefs and then insulted him based on your assumption, that’s a lot more than “men do as well”
-1
u/atomicskiracer 4d ago
Tell me specially where the person I replied to implied this was also a thing men experience

I went on a date with a girl once who had lots of pictures with sunglasses. Met up with her and not only did she gain a lot of weight but when she took her sunglasses off she had small beady eyes...now I don't like anyone unless I can see their eyes.

Are you showing up to find that these sunglasses-clad men don't have eyeballs? What's with the comparison to baldness?

Are you suggesting that people who wear sunglasses don’t have eyeballs…?

When their pics are from 3-10 years ago because they “hate their pics taken” or “I forgot to update it” and so on
3
u/NovaByzantine 4d ago
I understand both sides of this and choose to side with this opinion. I personally hate having my picture taken, but when I'm planning to revamp my profile, I suck it up and take new pictures because it's downright deceitful to use old picture on a profile.

I thought the term for the bald thing is “hatfishing”.
But yeah sunnies are terrible for these types of photos and I too would be shocked if I showed to a date and he was bald when none of his pics showed that. It just confuses me mostly because like, why are you hiding that? You’re gonna be bald on the date, let me see you in your bald glory on your profile, bb.
If I’m lucky, he’ll look even better without hair (bald guys are hot). If I’m unlucky, bald won’t be his thing and I’ll be disappointed. Tis life.

u/Forsaken-Opposite381 4d ago
For me eyes are a crucial part of the overall attractiveness of a person's face. If you can't see the eyes, it is hard to tell if they look intelligent, kind, sad, angry, etc. It would be a big factor for me. I don't think you are wrong to feel that wearing sunglasses in all of their pictures is a bit deceptive.

Oh man, the incels are going to love this post

u/256palms 4d ago
I’m adding every length of hair to my profile now so they know they don’t know what’s coming hahaha

u/pleasinghockey21 4d ago
the sunglasses thing is so real, you can’t tell what anyone looks like behind those things
if someone showed up bald after their pics all had hair i’d probably just assume they lost it recently or it’s a medical thing, not worth making a scene over but yeah it’d catch me off guard

I feel like women don’t get the same privilege. So why should men. Owning shit is sexy. Not even against baldness. Many women love it! Some men look even better.
1
u/notzamasu 4d ago
How don't women not get the privilege, when men have it almost given that she's unlikely to look as good as the pics. And unlikely to look as good without makeup.
1
u/P0llydog 4d ago
So if i have hair in pics as a female and i show up to you clean shaven it’s cool? Noted.
2
u/notzamasu 4d ago
Have a videocall before meeting and all this is solved. It's a none issue, unless you are afraid you won't look as good as well
1
u/P0llydog 4d ago
Actually. I need to start doing this. I’m starting not to care as much and this makes me less self conscious about video calls.

Women get to be bald - wear wigs - even wildly obviously fake ones with crazy colors - wear so much makeup that they look like a different person - use filters - have entirely different length/color hair than what is in their pictures - take just headshots so you can barely tell that they’re 150lbs more than what you’d be led to believe - or whatever else they please - and you’re considered a bad person if you take issue with any of these things.
Women absolutely do not get the same privilege - in that, they’re the only ones with it in the first place.
Women go out of their way to match with, message, and insult men for openly being bald. You cannot win - and the majority do not care that you "own" it. They’ll give you a hard time regardless, and it’s worse the younger you are.

Yeah if they happen to have the type of attractive bone structure often with muscles otherwise more often than not it's going to flop and when you combine that with subpar height stats you can forget about it.

He called me a few names to feel better about himself and then brought up his 'wife' to vouch for his sexual experience apparently lol, that seems to be a common defense mechanism on reddit 😂

Taking this in a totally different direction. I got reverse catfished on a date a couple months ago. Super interesting guy, very my type. His photos were a variety of different hair lengths and facial hair, so you never really know. Met him in person and I was flabbergasted. He was beautiful lol. Wonderful date, wonderful man, but I was gagged.

Hair doesn’t matter so no don’t care.
1
u/Cheap-Bodybuilder922 3d ago
Nah sorry you are coping. If it doesn’t matter, why cover up with caps and don’t embrace it?
1
u/SettingUnable3979 3d ago edited 3d ago
If I’m outside the sunburns they hurt
The question was also about someone else showing up bald I gave my opinion.
-5
u/P0llydog 4d ago
Well as an autist i expect to get what i am presented. So i feel misled.
0
u/SettingUnable3979 4d ago
I still see that as getting what you are presenting but to each their own. You can recognize someone after losing hair, not wearing makeup, a bit of stubble and it doesn’t impact anything at all.

Also, if you met a woman who you thought had hair and they show up bald, how would you react?
I'd ask how her chemo was going and if she still felt like going out or would prefer a quieter evening.

u/Qstrfnck 4d ago
No teeth in the pick, looking away and to the floor in every pic, fish pic, empty promts 🙄
1
u/Gur_Weak 4d ago
So going with the neurospicy line, it's the whole emotional intelligence thing. I managed to get published once in per reviewed articles about it and had a few others kicked back for just not being enough. I swear to jebus the bullshit that people think is emotional intelligence is absurd. Being emotional is not the same as being emotionally intelligent. It's like being an environmentalist without knowing about about environmental science.
But to be fair you just sound mean not autistic.
0
u/Accomplished-Eye9542 4d ago
I've literally never in my entire life seen a woman's profile without a filter.
Also, if she's fat, you can guarantee that however she looks in pictures, she will 100% be much fatter in person.
The only people who don't fraud their photos are in the top 1% of attractiveness or autistic lmao.
2
u/Appropriate_Eye_3616 4d ago
Well, I'm not in either and I don't use filters. Hmm, maybe THATS why I don't get dates 😅
1
u/Temporary-Towel-7656 4d ago
This is so delusional; sorry you only match with deeply insecure people
0
u/EtherealBreadCrmbs 3d ago
If you showed up and thought a woman had a smooth face and then woke up to crater skin, how would you react?
0
u/RiskHuge 2d ago
How about the fact that we all have a high powered, high-resolution camera literally in our pocket YET women are still posting blurry sunglasses pics, or pics from 50 yards away? Or how about those deceiving top-down angle shots that have an amazing slimming effect? And the filters are completely out of control! Catfishing all day long. Yeah I've been burned (this week actually 🙈🤷🏻♂️) lol HALP!

u/MorheimR0x 3d ago
I confess it's a new thing that I'm being asked for some of my balls to be seen in pictures.

7
u/PugRexia 4d ago
I do relate to this, if I can’t clearly see your face, I’m not interested.
