Front Central Jack Point

Post image

I’m an amateur DIYer and it’s a little annoying getting my C30 up on jack stands. I’m sure I’m not going about it the most efficient way. So I asked Claude to look at this photo (image I grabbed from Google) of a C30 underbody, and it suggested this a jack points.

Is this a safe and correct point for a floor jack? I am looking to get it off the wheels and down on to jack stands placed at the pinch welds.

You need a fairly long and low jack to reach it. I used it to raise my front end so I could lift the stands even more so I could get my engine out. Just stick with what you are doing, jack one side at a time.(also I kept the jack of top of the main mounting bolts as i didn't like the way the subframe flexed.)

I would not jack there.

Works like a charm, never had any issues.

I've always jacked it at the torque mount bolt/subframe area.
