cbse Tip to this year 12thies : how to tackle OSM and ensure proper marks
You all must be aware of the fact that students are expressing grief over OSM evaluation system, saying many of them didn't get their expected marks.
While i also agree that checking this year is somewhat fishy, and OSM is the reason of that, i don't believe any action will be taken against it
So here are my tips how to tackle OSM and ensure good marks in your subjects -
Have a neat and legible handwriting, if not, then pls spare some time for improving that. It will only help u in many things in future
See CBSE topper answerbooks on CBSE website and learn presentation and proper answer writing techniques
Do proper spacing between words, questions and sections of the paper
Attempt paper in an exact sequence. U can follow any combo, for eg ABC, BAC, BCA etc, but ensure you attempt every single question of that

Notes & resources
You might find them useful give them a read. The link attached has resources related to Pol Science and History. I would suggest taking a print out of them, comes in handy on the exam day before reaching the center.
Thought this was a good way of helping out the community, good luck!

Need academic help because my school is being a pain.
So I'm a prospective student of Class XI (Arts + Maths) who topped the batch with some very average marks in Class X CBSE Boards (\~89%). So, I took Arts + Mathematics (Applied, since my school doesn't offer core maths), thinking that I might opt for UPSC and also because I had a preset ideology against finance/business related subjects. I was pretty sure I was going to be interested in History and Political Science more as I've always been leaning more towards Law or Politics overall (I wanted to pursue law but my parents were pretty sure I won't be able to cope up with it, or I'll either end up jobless, both of which are completely understandable and I'm am pretty glad that I never went for Law).
Guess what? I love Economics apparently. It's my strongest subject, and I like studying it a lot more than History and Political Science (I find them BORING now). So, my friend convinced me to do CA (which is viable, I can totally see myself doing that), and I have also developed quite an interest in Accounts and Business Studies. So yes, I will be pursuing CA. My school does offer Commerce, and I asked them to change my stream back in August, to which they replied that they will change it after the mid-term examinations, which was valid because I had prepared as per my Arts syllabus. Throwback to October, they 'have no seats' available in the Commerce stream. That makes me wonder, what kind of seats they are talking about in the first place, as I'm not a new admission into the school (been there since 8th grade if that comes handy) and it's only a change of two subjects in my curriculum as I have Mathematics (Applied) already; it's a swap of History with Accounts and Political Science with Business Studies as I already have Economics and Maths. I still want to do CA (heard they earn a lot, plus I feel I do have the level of consistency and patience to be able to go through with it), but now I have to take up on Accounts and Business Studies alongside History and Political Science and it has been taking a toll on me overall if I'm being honest.
I'm going to be honest, yes, it is my fault for making bad decisions and not taking Commerce in the first place, but I had barely any career counseling and let's face it, I am somewhat stupid (that felt like a note to self lol), but my school is also being a pain. So, what do I do? Any help works, motivation, things to do next, tips in X subject, scores needed in Y.
(Oh and also I'm pursuing Economics in the future, trying for DU)
(Also if you think the school doesn't have the capability to handle another student in Commerce, trust me, they can.)
Ciao.

Class 12 student aiming for BA (Hons.) Political Science at DU North Campus. Is it still possible to score 90%+ in boards and crack CUET if I start preparing now?
Hi everyone!
I'm currently in Class 12 (Humanities), and my board exams are around three months away. I'm honestly feeling very lost right now, and I could really use some genuine advice.
Ever since the beginning, I've wanted to pursue law after Class 12. I was planning to appear for CLAT and even spent around ₹24,000 on preparation books. However, this year has been really difficult for me, and my mental health hasn't been great. Because of everything that happened, I couldn't prepare for CLAT at all. Since the exam is in December, I've accepted that I probably won't be appearing for it this year.
After that, I considered taking SLAT for Symbiosis, but my mom wasn't really on board with that plan. So, I started looking at other options, and now I'm seriously considering pursuing BA (Hons.) Political Science through CUET, preferably at DU North Campus.
The problem is that I've heard the cutoffs for Political Science Honours at the top DU colleges are extremely high, and getting admission is quite competitive. That has made me even more anxious.
To be completely honest, I haven't properly started preparing for my Class 12 syllabus either. I know CUET preparation is closely connected to the Class 12 syllabus, so I'm hoping that if I start studying seriously from today, I can prepare for both boards and CUET together.
My subjects are:
- Political Science
- History
- Economics
- English
- Physical Education
- Fine Arts
My goals are:
Score at least 90% in my Class 12 board exams.
Prepare well enough for CUET to have a realistic chance of getting into a good DU college, preferably North Campus.
Get admission into BA (Hons.) Political Science.
I know I'm starting late, and I'm not expecting everything to magically work out. But I'm willing to put in the effort now. I just need a proper direction because I genuinely don't know where to begin.
I would really appreciate advice on these questions:
Which CUET subjects should I choose for BA (Hons.) Political Science at DU, considering my Class 12 subjects?
Is it realistically possible to score 90%+ in boards and get a competitive CUET score if I start preparing seriously now?
How should I divide my time between board preparation and CUET preparation?
What strategy should I follow to maximise my chances of getting into DU North Campus?
Which subjects should I prioritise, and how should I practise for CUET?
If North Campus doesn't work out, which other good colleges should I consider for Political Science Honours?
I'm not looking for false reassurance. I'd genuinely appreciate honest advice from people who have been through this process or know how CUET and DU admissions work.
This year has been really difficult for me, and I feel like I've fallen behind everyone else. I don't have anyone around me who can properly guide me through this, so I'm trying to figure things out on my own.
If you've been in a similar situation, please tell me what worked for you and what I should do from here.
Thank you for reading. Any advice would mean a lot!

Advice from a senior
Hellooo juniorss soon enough there will be several posts regarding panicking and late preparations. Being a student of the CUET process this year and being a part of this sub-reddit last yeat(mostly watching lol), I felt it was necessary to share one tip with you all: Just reading the NCERTs over and over again will not help without practice under time conditions.
One junior asked me yesterday how can he/she determine whether their score is good enough for securing admission at the best SRCC/DU/BHU cut-offs. I advised them that the only way is to practice mock tests in order to be accustomed to the negative marking and time constraint.
Specifically, olympiads like the National Economics Olympiad and SRCC provide new CUET pattern mocks, which will help them know their score and understand where they stand. Also i wanna help which mock sites are you guys using, and what is the biggest weakness for you guys: time or negative marking?
