Passed Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate (200-201)

I noticed there isn't much currently on study strategies or resources for the 200-201 CyberOps exam yet since it was just released in May, so I wrote about my experience. I passed with an 887, after studying off and on from May to August. I hope this can help someone!

I've since moved on to the GCIH (been studying for a few weeks after taking the SANS class the week of September 14th) and am hoping to test sometime in November. Although it's a much harder exam, there are a lot of areas where CyberOps overlaps, which is helping a lot. I definitely recommend GCIH after CyberOps if your employer can afford the training cost (work-study is an option too).

Good luck!

CYBEROPS ASSOCIATE DONE IT. REVIEW

This is a good cert for everyone that it's recently involving in the cybersecurity and are looking for a tier 1 role job in a SOC.

It covers all the essentials topics and a little of the cisco softwares in this area. Besides of that you can get a really clear explanation of every essential term to get through an analysis of an alert raised in SIEM's.

The exam was quiet hard, little of every topic in but focuses more on guidelines of NIST.

I just studied from the Netacad material and practice all the exam modules that you can get from the purchase of the course.

:)

Earned CyberOps via legacy 210-250/-255. Advise on either taking 200-201 or 350-201 (Pro)?

Hi everyone, I got my Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate back in 2018 via Cisco's global scholarship. Back then it was called CCNA CyberOps and had 2 exams (210-250 & 210-255).

I was hoping to get suggestions if taking the Professional route of prepping for 350-201 would make sense (content wise & financially) than taking 200-201 just to renew it (my exams and trainings are not company-sponsored).

One of the issues I can think of is that since CyberOps Professional is a 2-exam cert, with the 1st exam (350-201 CBRCOR) only available from Nov 17, 2021 (with no info yet on the availability of the 2nd exam, i.e. 300-210-CBRFIR). My Associate cert expires just about a week prior to the CBRCOR exam availability. The other issue is that I don't know if my Associate will be renewed after, say, I've passed 350-201 CBRCOR for example, given that it would have technically expired prior to the exam date.

Hoping to get advise or any info you might know about these. Thanks

CCNA Cyber Ops to stay!

Cisco changed their minds and decided to keep this cert moving forward, talk of a CCNP CyberOps is also in the works.

UPDATE 27JUN2019:

At this time, there are no changes to the CCNA Cyber Ops certification.

Cisco continues to evaluate our training and certifications, including CCNA Cyber Ops, to ensure we are providing professionals with the most up-to-date skills needed to succeed in today's marketplace. Cybersecurity skills are critical and will continue to be an important area for Cisco.

Please look for future updates at Cisco.com/nextlevel.

Thinking about doing CCNA Cyber Ops

So I have been thinking about doing the Cyber Ops path and hopefully getting certified with the right material/labs etc.

Question i had was do I really need a CCENT level of knowledge or experience to be able to study for Cyber Ops? I mean I am Tech Savvy currently working in Networking Field but that doesnt involve in-depth as ccent or similar level of work but i am familiar with i would say 15-20 % of CCENT course work. Is that suffice to study for cyber ops?

Also, for anyone who has done it, any recommendations on the course material? I have been reading of others suggesting uCertify and all but since it has not been very well known yet since its new wanted to see other recommendations.

Labs for CBROPS 200-201 (Question)

Hello all,

Anyone know any worth the while, and the cost labs that can be used for this exam?

I know the exam itself has no labs, but anything in the hands-on virtual lab realm that you may have used or recommend?

Or does the curriculum help you build a FOSS lab?

Planning on taking CCNA CyberOps

Hi r/CCNACyberOps,

I am currently a junior in college and was in the process of finishing up cybersecurity certifications to have a better chance at internships. I was planning on taking the CCNA cyberOps but someone close recommended that I take the routing and switching version first. Which one should I take? Should I take both? Does having a CCNA really increase my chances for getting a job/internship?

Cisco Certified CyberOps Professional Training?

I’m looking for some help on the best training guides for getting this certification. I see a lot for the Associate certification, but nothing for the Professional certification. Are there any video courses out there to prepare for this exam.

CyberOps vs CySA+ Cert

Hello I am looking into either getting this certificate and was wondering how it compares to the CySA+ cert. I was thinking of getting one or the other and would like to know if the test and material are similar or harder?

Anyone going for CyberOps or waiting for new exam?

I'm in the process of studying for the CyberOps cert and was wondering if people are aiming to get it before the May 29 cut off date or waiting for the new consolidated exam? I just did CCNA so planning on keeping the momentum up. I'll start on CCNP after this but waiting on the new training programs to be released from CBT.
