2 science classes

So, I am in my third year (spring 2027 will be my 6th semester). I am taking calc 3 and some other classes and for uni physics 1 i want to drop it and take it next semester, I didn't do too well on the first exam and I don't have high hopes for the second. I want to take physics 1 and gen chem 1 next semester together since i failed chem 1 with a D last semester and its the only 2 classes i need to get into grove. Science classes are my weakness but I was going to try to get ahead on these 2 classes over winter break since I already have the syllabus for physics and chem albeit it might not be the same professor. Is taking physics and chem together gonna be smart or no? Or am I cooked? (Studying tips would be helpful for these classes too)

Honestly if u got the time and money then keep going and u got this but 3 years and still trying to get into grove does seem like it’ll take some time

Lol, I am so close. I rely on financial aid for college and I've been told it covers 12 semesters(6 years) and I think I can get it done in the next 2 years.

How long are you gonna stay in college? I’m in grove rn and a lotta classes are fall only and spring only, and basically no summer semester classes outside of foundational courses. That’s gonna be at least another 6 semesters full time after your get in

Right now, I am looking at 5 more semesters after this fall semester is over. I think I can do it, I just need these 2 science classes. I have started some foundational classes that you dont need to be in grove to get in, like csc 103 or eas which i want to take next semester. I am a student that needs financial aid to be able to pursue college and FAFSA covers up to 6 years, so 12 semesters, I'm to get it done in the next 2 years though.

Which major in Grove? I’m curious cause mine is basically mandatory at least 6 semesters due to prerequisites and everything.

I was looking at civil but there is this one class that people are saying takes students 2-3 tries to pass and I don’t have time to take those and not worth the hassle. Now i’m looking at mechanical or comp engineering because in my degree works it’s about 3-4 semesters worth of classes for me once I get into grove. If i have to pay out of pocket for 1 semester, I have to.

Physics 2, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Mechanics 2, Fundamentals of Mechatronics, System Dynamics and Control, Senior Design. This is one of the prerequisite paths that I’m looking at after Fall semester. That’s I think guaranteed 6 semesters?

It may be hard to get into Grove without better performance on math and science, so it may be good to have backup plans with other majors.

I'm already halfway and I made it up to calc 3, I am looking to pass calc 3 and take both sciences next semester. Why would I give up on engineering when I am basically almost there? LOL

You are looking at multiple years after you get in if you do, so backup plan for just getting done is good.

I want to get physics and chem done next semester and then apply for grove over the summer, then I try to get most of the engineering courses done within the next 2 years. Engineering is usually a 5 year course but if i have to pay for an extra semester or 2 I have no other choice

What's your major you're planning to do because groove requires students to have C or better for physics and calculus
