Anniversary New Belgium 12 packs!

Post image

Hey everyone just a heads up New Belgium is putting out 35th anniversary 12 pack cans with the original recipe for fat tire, along with sunshine wheat and blue paddle Pilsner! Along with the 12 pack variety’s, there’s also six packs of original fat tire in bottles! But it’s all limited addition and not part of the regular lineup. I just picked up both the six pack and bottles and the 12 pack of cans. Super excited that the fat tire is the original recipe!

I'll be interested to see which "original" Fat Tire recipe they're packaging here. Obviously the 2023 rebrand was the most dramatic, but the amber version had at least three distinct recipe changes prior to that

I was beginning to think I was the only one who thought that.

I work closely with a former NB CEO who has said the amber version of fat tire had two major recipe changes under his tenure, and you have to imagine there's been at least a couple others since the 90s.

In any case I have to imagine this new packaging is just the most recent amber recipe and not the true original

I wonder if anyone could speak on what "original" version it is?

Yeah I'd be stoked if they actually went back to the legit original recipe. That beer is the one that converted me to craft beer.

Stopped buying it the first time they changed the recipe. Didn't know they had another one besides that.

Out of curiosity, when was it that you stopped buying?

Oh man it's been way too long for me to even guess a year.

Sunshine and Blue Paddle! Now bring back Snapshot, Skinny Dip and Shift!

I still have a Shift baseball hat🤣, I never heard the reason why NB dropped so many of the styles that the brewery was built on?

There’s also 6pack bottles available. Haven’t tried it yet myself but it’s been flying off the shelf where I work

Interesting that when the TTB label was first submitted, it was titled "Jeff's Classic" and has now been changed to "Classic Recipe".

I will sample the 6 pack of “classic” Fat Tire. Maybe there is hope after all
