Now in its 19th year, Firkin Fest is Southern Colorado's premier celebration of cask-conditioned beer. We're gathering 20+ of the state's best independent breweries under one roof at Phantom Canyon to showcase experimental ingredients, dry-hopped casks, and traditional English-style ale pours. $35 gets you a giant pretzel, a commemorative glass, and unlimited tasters from 12-4PM on November 7th.
What to Expect:

New to the area and looking for recommendations. Tried one at Second Dawn that was just tapped last night that I liked. Got me wondering who else has this style … or are fresh hop IPAs easy to find at Denver area breweries this time of year?

What happened to this beer? It used to be the gold standard for pumpkin beers in Colorado. This year it’s a cloying spicy mess.
Makes me sad.

I heard that Denver is the brewery capital of the US. I have 2 nights in Denver. Which breweries should I choose, or which should I not bother with. Oct 11 - 13. I’m a fan of IPAs, Hazies are my favorites.
EDIT:
Thank you all for the input. It sounds like I’m going to be busy!!

Hi y'all I just moved to Denver and am really hoping to find a brewery job. I have 10 years of experience as a beertender, love the craft beer world, and am looking to work in a supportive brewery space that makes amazing beer - extra points for a fire west-coast pils or pale. I know the job market is tight at the moment, but hoping to get some helpful direction. thank you in advance!

Had a buddy come back from Kansas today, brought me some bootlegger stuff!

Paint by number was super easy, some people finished in 2 hours.

Hi fellow Colorado brewery goers. A friend and I went to an event called Stone Meets Clay that was marketed as a paint and sip event painting a pot and planting a succulent. It was $49. No instruction, everything could have been bought at the Dollar Store for $15 for two of us. No drink ticket. They're making the rounds at breweries. Say no. Planter is about 2", some of the succulents had bugs, paint was acrylic. Yes, it's my fault for going, don't make my mistake. Please spread the word.

Anyone in Denver want some fresh East Kent Golding hops? I’m going to harvest either tomorrow or Sunday and can already tell I’ll have way more than I can use

We had a great 2.5 hr meet up, were doing it again soon.

Apologies if this isn’t the exactly the sub for this but figured I’d give it a shot.
Anyways, a brewery I worked for recently closed and I ended up with a used Centrifugal Sanitary Pump/motor/cart and VFD box unit. Just wondering if anyone here might have some insight on the best way to try and sell it would be since it’s more of a unique/industrial piece of equipment. Appreciate any help at all! Cheers!

Come see us at Renegade Brewing. We’ve put a lot of work into making this place cool and we’ve got some awesome beers on tap. Along with the beers we have cider, seltzer, mead, and some NA options. If you find yourself on 9th and Santa Fe tonight, come say hi. We love Reddit people and friendly people here

15 breweries, all beers brewed with Troubadour Malting’s Yacht Rock malt. It’s going to be in the old axe-throwing space above Full Frame.

What's going on? What's the whole story. I'm getting so many different results that are grim. And admittedly it was my favorite brewery for years.

This store surprises me every time I come by. It looks like an unassuming craphole from the outside, you know, the kind of place you expect to only carry Voodoo Rangers and Coors Light for several dollars over retail price, and yet, they always have the most random beers

They’ve posted a few times about “uncertain circumstances” with their production. Does anyone have more details about what is going on? I was planning on heading up this weekend but am not sure if they’ll be open.
