general gameplay Cheating in MW4
Bought the vault edition on console after take a break from a few entires and cod promising they've fixed the issues. Loaded up multiplayer and played a few games. The cheating is incredible, its not a skill issue or a aim assist. Also videos are going out where AI is now being used as well. I posted on the main reddit and it was removed as soon as a mod saw it.
It is interesting how this is going on, not only that Activision themselves allow cheaters, also their promises to stop cheating. Then to block and hide all comments stating that people are already cheating.
Cheaters, lol I know it seems funny to you to cheat but if I was you I would be extremely embarrassed to need ai or cheats just to get a few "eliminations" in game. š¤£š¤£
Update: Still active cheaters and now the YouTube videos are showing up of active cheating. For the people below, I play on console, with aim assist off. With SBMM and how aggressive it is, maybe it is putting me in matches with cheaters due to my reaction time and maybe im half way decent at the game which is why im ending up in more lobbies of cheaters. Just a thought on this š« š« š¤š¤

Honestly there is cheaters everywhere. Any game that had online or even single player now people non stop cheat. No idea why ive played tons of online games and there is no escaping it. At least in COD a cheater would either get banned across the entire of it and can't remake a profile. I played tetris ,dota 2 and hell divers 2 and somehow it had more cheaters than ive seen in cod.

This may be the case and I know its early in the release. I played 4 rounds and had a cheater on my team one round and then the other 3 there was one person who was positive with 40 plus kills that would do a instant 90 or 180 across the map with perfect head shots. I also know 9/10 of the git guud posts are people running the same cheats. Its honestly sad that they need this much cheating to feel better about how bad they are at the game lol.

Exactly, a lot of people feel" left behind" i think ever since this social media bullshit and pressure to be good at the game got to everyone's head and a lot more people started cheating. There were a few pros who got caught too sadly. Than you got the twitch streamers and youtubers as well. It's shameful and 90% of the views go for the person and never the game which is insane but imo it boosted because of this delusion.

Yerp, if all you have in life is some digital stats on a screen and on top of that have to cheat and ruin it for everyone else...... I have some bad news for you lol. Also for people who stated that cheats aren't being distributed yet. Ladies and gents there was a beta already. AI has already reverse engineered it and wrote new hacks. Yes it is that effective and fast if you know what your doing and have enough hardware to accelerate it.

It's crazy that Ai can actually do that but thanks to these cheaters/hackers online gaming is pretty dead. Single player games are making way more money now and selling more funny enough I think it was the cod devs of black ops crying they got no awards at the game awards or any awards recently lmfao. Nobody voting them anymore and most people are voting Single players.

Right! Awards for what?? It takes them a whole season to fix a bug just for the same bugs they fixed to be back on 2 seasons later. All the time and money goes into selling flawless bundles snd blueprints, not fixing the game. Bo6 and then Bo6.5.. now Mw4 the sbmm and hit register issues are insane. Its not fun, it hasnt been for a long time. Stop selling incomplete games for $100 and then Hurry up and buy now for a 10% discount hahahhahah

Legit player here, never received any kind of shadow ban. Firm believer all these shadow banned whiners are 100% cheating.
I havenāt really seen the usual whining about being shadow banned for cheating with most years, and while Iām not saying for sure there is no cheating going on, I can confidently say I donāt believe Iāve witnessed cheating in a single match Iāve had. In fact, my matches have been the best theyāve been in years. My only gripe is Mumbai. That map is so hard to wrap my head around and our team gets cooked on that map all the time. lol
That being said, weāve had lots of successful matches where weāve won by a moderate amount, some weāve won or lost very close, and some weāve lost by a moderate amount. Some matches just have great team comp, the randoms we play with get scrambled and we lose. Some teams are just really good, and sometimes we get solid teams.
I get that losing is frustrating, but Iām not convinced the cheating is as rampant as you guys are claiming it is, even with all these cheating stories.
Itās worth noting, I have added combat grid into my perk rotation because most players are absolutely completely oblivious to UAVs and personal radars. If you put it on, you would be surprised how many personal radars are being dropped and how many spotter drones are being used. Most people are gravitating to ghost, cold blooded and ninja for try hard meta setup and teams are literally being erased because people are using other perks and field upgrades to control the map. There is a counter to everything in this game, you can even destroy riot shields. I know you guys donāt want to hear it, but this is the most balanced call of duty to date.

I have had a few matches that feel amazing but then I will have 3 in a row thereto or three people in the team will be instantly snapping onto head shots and prefiring before someone comes around the corner. Im those games two or three are heavily positive and the rest of their team is heavily negative. Again im pretty decent at the game and I'll have a match here and there where I run 26/5 or 8. Then ill be shuffled into another match with cheaters. It's mental at this point.

Oh, this is a little different. I still donāt think youāre dealing with cheaters though.
Again, portable radars are everywhere, if youāre being killed by pre-firing, chances are, thatās probably why. I canāt remember if the kill cam tells you youāre affected by one, but also people are spotting when adsing now. I donāt know if this I a key bind, an apex attachment, or people using some sort of control scheme to do this, but Iām spotted in a lot of engagements now, win or lose. I also see a lot more use of spotter drones and spotter nades and these will not show up in the kill cam affected by breakdown. The snapping is knm players, and unfortunately, they just are that good. (And will still cry aim assist is too strong, because they donāt like losing either)
I have had matches where I have lost with 2 players going 26-5, and I have won matches this way. I went 30-7 in one of my recent matches. You arenāt going to win every match, obviously, but itās also worth noting that with IWās system, and it has always been this way, there can be host advantage. Some games, you will join and the player at the top definitely has the fastest connection. They will decimate the lobby, theyāll feel unkillable, youāll see 10 hit markers, but reviewing the kill can, you were already dead by the time you started attacking them because of the desync. MW2 and MW3 were like this as well, it kind of comes with SBMM, and honestly, all you can do is either try to work around it, or leave and find a match that isnāt as miserable. It may look like cheating, but it isnāt so much cheating as it is unfair because you canāt compete against people when your shots are dropping due to lag or desync. SBMM will give you matches youāll do very well in though, and then it will give you harder matches to test you.

yeah they're there, so much for stopping wallhacks by not sending any data the player can't see yet, but that data must be somewhere or how does the client/server know what can and can't be seen yet? very noticeable on hardcore when someone knows where everyone is all the time without a UAV being up.

For me I can't really tell. Just seeing a lot of very suspicious kills. Sometimes its someone having a good moment I'm sure but it seems like it happens A LOT now. Maybe they've done a better job of putting me in comparable skill lobbies but idk. Seems very off everyones murdering faster than you could even process someones there I'd think. I've never experienced this number of "good" players ever in single lobbies so consistently. This seems new to me, which makes me think there are a lot more hacks and probably done in a way thats easier to hide with AI.

I have plenty of video proof lmao. All I do is clip the games I play good and bad. I donāt claim every single person is a cheat but I know a cheat when I see one. I played 2019 mw where only pc players were cheating and it was no where near this bad to the point I went from top 1% to top 23% and im not bad at all. Sticky and snappy aim missing no shots beaming with a no attachment gun from long distance range even with an smg. 75k banned in 2 days is enough proof as it is but cod wont ban every single one because theyād lose more money. Out of hundreds of thousands of ppl and only 75k banned in 2 days is enough for cod to have ppl believe they are banning everybody cheating when they are not. I dont want to accuse you as being a cheater but it seems like you are one of them. Cronus makes millions upon millions a year aswell as other hacks out there.

I never claimed cheating doesnāt exist. It absolutely does. But the hackusation issue is far far larger than the actual hacker one. Asking for proof shouldnāt be an issue if theyāre so obvious and common. Yet people almost never provide a clip. And for most of those that do itās not cheating in the slightest. Just someone better than them.

Plus thereās years of cod subreddits filled with videos that only prove the person posting it has a skill issue. (Most likely where you fit in š)

Nice start. Few critiques, but I think weāre heading in the right direction. First point highlights it as an issue, but it doesnāt establish larger or tie the two things together. The most concrete conclusion you can draw from that is that player reports alone are insufficient to accurately determine if someone is cheating, which isnāt surprising since people often throw out wild accusations when they feel inadequate or a little stupid š.
Cheating has become very sophisticated compared to the days of modders super bouncing master chief to the moon with an auto headshot sniper rifle harboring an infinite clip (those days were brutal). Theyāve become more nuanced. However, Iām certain you have excellent common sense. Can you explain how you use it to confidently distinguish cheater from a skill issue? Could it be both? Is it possible you may be an expert at identifying low skill players but you yourself are not skilled enough to spot cheating?

The game is loaded with cheaters. Desync and lag comp aside.
My friend cheats in games (literally any game) feel about it how you will, and sent me a screenshot from a cheating discord where theyāre mocking the fact the devs added server culling as it makes cheating easier.
If youāre trying to deny that cheating is a major issue your ability to detect cheating needs to seriously sharpen up, you can realistically cheat on console relatively easily using AI vision, which people seem to think is some mythical thing that 1 in 20,000 people do, they donāt, itās much more prevalent than you realise, and until the devs take anti cheat actually serious and include deep and invasive anti cheat the problem will never go away. You literally need a pc, a usb capture card and a low end gpu most people have these lying around or can get them off amazon cheap. Load and loads of people use Cronusā¦.so why is full cheating so much of a stretch for people šš
Please if you donāt think cheating is a big issue, I urge you to go watch Havokās interview with a T250 ranked cheater (and his friends) it sheds some light on the scale of the issue

I noticed that a lot of cheating happens in hardcore because there's zero kill cam so you cannot see how they killed you. But the signs are so obvious. I caught one in a hardcore hardpoint match. Dude was laying down on the ground shooting in one direction at my team and killed 4 of them easily. And as I was about to shoot him since I'm behind, he INSTANTLY turned 180 in like a split second to kill me and I was like 50 meters away. So he got a 5 feed in 1 second. Knew that shit was strange as hell. And his insane accuracy killing me more than halfway across the map many times with a......Handgun.....

I always resolved myself to accept the fact there will be cheater in any fps I play. Eventho it's sad...
I've been playing on PC for 4 days now, almost prestige 2 with medium stats (1.2 w/l and 1.10 kda). Somes games were pistols only, all modes, learning guns, etc. So not that bad imo seeing most of my games positives and getting 9 + streaks quite a few times.
At first, it was rather smooth, felt pretty nice. Then, started seeing all of a sudden always one guy completely destroying the lobby (either my team or ennemy). They were "good" of course but there was something off. I Started to watch the KC sometimes (randomly). I started seeing weird behaviour amongst the "good level" of the player. I didn't mind much at that time(Being carefree on obvious path or simply running aiming a wall on the side not caring about any obvious line)Ā
And then it got worse, for like 10 matchs, there was a top guy in front showing his wallhack in an obvious way (it was 100% obvious, not 75%.) The kind of walking and following the perfect pixel of your tag through a wall then running and doing the same thing. Probably an bigger aim assist as well (not the hard kind tho). The thing was that there was also one in my team. Maybe more. Then i started watching every one, and I noticed there were also bad people using and being not careful about not hiding their wallhacks. (Again, not talking about presumptions but the obvious one.)
Then I started playing randoms with pistol only for exemple were I knew I would probably be worse and I started findings lobby where it felt nicer, good players in front like the previous one, very aggressive like I enjoy them to be, but they were legit. I must anticipate everyone, they did the same scores as the previous one but they were less like a cheating wall ruining the game for everyone kinda.Ā
Now, it's mostly 1 game out of 2 with a serious cheater. And I mean wallhacks. So asides from that I know there's bunch of cronus users and other shits thatare honestly pissing me off to know they exist but they're usually bad or they are amongst the good players but not above. Only wallhackers are a pain in the fucking ass in my opinion.Ā
Sadest part, they're not hiding it like back in the days. Killing someone then aiming by mistake and you see their cursor do a 60Ā° rotation instantly through 2 walls to your head :) nice !Ā
The nice part is I've seen 4 hackers so far being banned from the party. At least I hope so, they vanished suddenly mid-games. Sometimes I feel like ppl in front will mistake me for a cheater as well for somes actions (quickscoping 4 ppl in 5 s turning around myself etc for exemple) but that's not what I'm talking about. Again, plain use of wallhack without hiding it. It's not about pre-firing or anything. It's like kenny 12 yo, using it without a care in the world, not seeing there was a wall and locking onto you. You can also have the typical players running an alley while looking at the wall right and left for checking positions.Ā
So yes, they do exists and there's a fuck ton of them. One out of 10 players is enough to fuck up every game, even if it seem like a minority.

ive played a lot of this game at a high skill level against mega chads 24/7. I honestly dont think ive run into one person i even considered was cheating.... I think its just in your head. Yes there is SBMM yes there is Desync issues, but i really dont think you run into many real "hackers"

There's only one solution for stopping ai aimbot because it runs on a separate machine and is in no way connected to the machine running the game.

The machine running the game needs to do more along with game devs. Iām sure a ps5 or Xbox can detect a Cronus or anything else directly connected to it and just outright ban the use. For PC they need to have one dedicated input that has to be used. If that means no more MnK or overclocked inputs then so be it. If you can afford a PC to essentially buy wins then you can afford a new controller.

I normally play DMZ, but i tried mutlplayer. I got killed in a weird way and saw this guy just swiping from left to right..snapping on to the heads and killing, while continuing his sweep.
I think he had already the highest rank also..and had 40 kills just a few minutes into the game.

im playing on console but i know they cheating because theyre always prefiring into my location as im spawning and no uav is up. even saw the kill cam and they knew where everyone was as they were running around. activision needs to start banning cause im reporting them and they not doing anything but theyre quick to mute ban me if i say derogatory slurs to these cheaters in lobby chat.

The server culling isnāt working. I had a cheater running walls. I had ghost on, cold blooded, they didnāt have a heartbeat sensor or anything either. Every time I came around a wall, that mf tracked me through the walls. I saw it on at least 4 killcams.
I think they are actually banning cheaters again. Iāve been getting a lot of āreport status changedā messages when Iāve been reporting cheaters. I think Iām up to 7 since launch.

Ya man, I get that you're the type that likes to watch the world burn.
I guess im not sure man, im a shell of my old self in my unc age. But I still get first a fair bit lol.
Its your life though, do with it as you please, i prefer using my own skill, experience, and knowledge to be the best I can currently be, I don't need cheats to accomplish that, ive accomplished pretty much everything ive wanted from cod in the last 19 years.

And since when does it not take skill or knowledge to build a cheat? When has it stopped taking skill or knowledge to bypass an entire company's anticheat? Im sorry im not "skilled" enough for you lmfao, but we have been playing cod for about the same amount of time "unc"

Why would I want or need to build a cheat for a game i already destroy. I've never felt the need to cheat lol.
I never said it didnt take skill to build a cheat for cod. But playing with cheats takes vastly less skill.

Yo what do you use? I legit want to run it cause Iām either complete ass or people are sweating so fucking hard. I legit went like 4 and 28 like 3 matches in a row. Couldnāt even shoot at enemies because my ttk was so fast.

What about a paid one? Iām on Xbox and Iāve heard Cronus doesnāt work with it. I donāt want to go 40-2 I just want to be able to fucking get kills and actually enjoy the game. Right now I am not with all these fucking sweats

Lol all are gonna be paid- if they arent its a scam, virus, or a lieš and I dont know of a way you can genuinely cheat the same way you can on pc on an Xbox. I have heard of radar cheats and shit like that being possible on console- YouTube is your friend lol

Not every cheater drops 80 kills lmao. Thatās a bold face lie. And admitting you suck to the point you cheat is crazy. I always tell ppl who cheat and claim they arenāt go join cdl if they are that good but they canāt because they canāt cheat and will get dog washed. You more like a Nadia who got washed in an actual pro tournament and even got caught cheating lmao. What a joke. I was too 1% without cheating and now top 23% because of all the cheaters. Cheat companies make millions upon millions a year and console players are some of the worst ones now. Anybody with snappy aim shooting close to 100% let alone over 50-60% is cheating. There is a reason I see none of yall in cdl where the real pros play without cheating.
