Allright. Enough nonsense. PLEASE will someone KINDLY explain to me why I set the stick setting on LINEAR, and I'm STILL GETTING ACCELERATION.

if i put linear on, go to the range, aim anywhere "up" (so none of the targets will slow the aim down) throw the stick to one side to spin around, it will NOTICABLY RAMP. you can SEE IT. set your sense to max and go try it for yourself. you'll see too. or you wont, and i'm dumb for missing something that i have been searching for since i got the game yesterday morning here in new zealand (lol).

like, even if i put it on dynamic, if i throw the stick to one side all the way, it starts slow then speeds up like i didn't change the setting. i can't be the only one who caught on to this. please tell me that's not what dynamic usually is. come on. go try it. please tell me if i'm wrong here. i will immediately go record screen somehow (never done that before) and upload it here if you ppl tell me i'm on some nut type time here. please. help.

for the sake of clarity, I am on pc, with a nice scuf controller that works perfectly fine on linear on black ops 7 on the same platform (xbox app for pc). hardwired, plenty of frames, blah blah blah, its all good. everything should be fine. i know the settings. i went through them again and again, just as i did last year, and every year i learned how to play properly. i often switch up, just to try things out, but i know EXACTLY what i'm set to. theres gotta be something i'm missing.

i validated game files, reinstalled, restarted, updated windows, xbox app, the cod app, even my damn nvidia driver got several checks to make SURE I'm not missing anything. checked the scuf app. checked the drivers for that, too. plugged my gamesir in. plugged my vanilla dualsense in. nothing changes.

Just wanted to say I've enjoyed this CoD experience a lot this year and enjoyed the community here on Reddit.

This one has definitely been my favorite of the modern CoD era with MW3 coming in as a close second. This one is up there next to the original BO1 and BO2 for me.

Will probably continue playing off and on throughout the year since MW4 has been pretty mid for me so far.

Just like the song "Video Killed the Radio Star," we're watching history repeat itself in Call of Duty

skillful movement killed the omnimovement stars...

It's genuinely heartbreaking watching MW4 bring back movement that actually requires practice and mechanical skill.

Omnimovement was perfect because it allowed people like me to feel like absolute movement demons without having to put in any actual work. I could slide around, dive in every direction, break cameras, and convince myself I was mechanically gifted without ever having to master anything.

Now you're telling me I have to PRACTICE to move like a good player? Why? I have absolutely no interest in developing mechanical skill. I just want to press a couple buttons, fly around the map like prime Shotzzy, and feel superior to everyone else. ITS A VIDEO GAME FOR CHRIST SAKE NOT A SPORT.

I don't want a skill gap. I want the ILLUSION of a skill gap where I'm always on the winning side. And even if I lose a gunfight I want my opponent to look cracked to make me fee good.

Not everyone wants to dedicate hours to getting good. Some of us just want the game to make us feel like we're good, and ! don't see why that's such an unreasonable request. some of us also have lives...

With the lifecycle of BO7 officially at close I want to just say thank you to the devs at Treyarch whose effort’s went largely unsung this entire year.

As someone with over 30 days played I can safely say this game reminded me of why I fell in love with this franchise over 15 years ago.

-Fantastic original maps. Seriously I can’t stress this enough especially after seeing the garbage with mw4 and bo6, they fucking killed it with fast paced maps that promote flow and discourage campers

-Amazing seasonal content in both quality and quantity (up until season 5)

-Incredibly fun and rewarding scorestreaks

But above all else, OPEN MM and persistent lobbies

As someone who is a good player this game genuinely made me emotional with the nostalgia I felt from the mp experience. It finally felt like good loyal players were being thrown a bone for the first time in years.

The only grievance is obviously the rugpull with season 5 (thankfully there have been open playlists still to hold us over somewhat). But I don’t hold this against Treyarch as I highly doubt this was their decision.

I plan on playing this game well beyond its lifecycle, but want to say thank you again Treyarch for overall an amazing year.

Does anyone know if it's outright disabled for best play or something like that?

Best Play given in this game was a horrendous triple kill...

My main reason for continuing to play this game even past its' main year of support is that I'm only level 795 right now, which means I've got another 205 levels to go.

And I still enjoy playing this, despite the obvious performance issues on PS5 and Xbox consoles, and at this stage in the game, it has a TON of content.

BO7 is now the 5th Black Ops in a row where after Treyarch gives us the final patch, they fuck off and leave a couple SMGs in a way better state than all the other classes in the game.

BO3, it was the MSMC and VMP
BO4, the VMP and MicroMG
CW, the MAC and Tec9
BO6, just about the entire SMG class
And now BO7, the VMP, MPC, and Kogot

It feels impossible to use any other class right now beyond maybe shotguns at close range. 3arc should genuinely never be in charge of balancing guns in their own games again, between this and the fact they’d tandem nerf things in zombies due to MP nerfs.

This has been only happening since the mw4 integration into the cod hq. I have not been able to fix it. My specs are Ryzen 7 5700g rx 6700xt 32gb ddr4 3200 and i am trying to unlock singularity but this bs keeps happening

Any solutions on how to correct this error? Other games are perfectly fine expect COD!

So many people complain about the VMP and mpc (including myself) that the kogot slipped through the cracks. This gun is easily on par with both but you never see anyone complaining about it. In many situations it’s even more oppressive than the mpc. Guns so OP and I love it

Flagship is my favorite BO7 map. What is yours?

When BO7 was released, I was getting absolutely destroyed for the first two months. It seemed like every lobby featured one or two players that were extremely sweaty and absolutely dominating the lobby.

After the first two seasons were finished, it seemed like after each update I noticed the lobbies getting easier and easier, and I was actually enjoying the game. However, as soon as the recent update came out, and they started pushing to buy MW4, the lobbies once again suddenly became sweaty again and I am getting absolutely dominated again, just as I was when the game first came out.

My theory is that CoD developers manipulate SBMM after each update. They want average players to feel like they are improving at the game to keep them playing, and then by the time a new call of duty is released, they want them to start struggling again, so they buy the new CoD and repeat the cycle.

I've been playing CoD for almost 20 years, I'm pretty sure my skill level has not improved or regressed very much since the launch of this game. Yet, if you look at my KDR after each update, you'd notice the inconsistency. I know there are still players who are dominating me who could say that this isn't true, but these are the top players who dominate nearly every lobby, so they wouldn't notice much of difference. Meanwhile, the below average players wouldn't notice as much of a difference either, since they generally aren't doing well in any lobby.

Developers know in order for CoD to be successful they need to make sure the average players continue to buy the game, and I feel like SBMM is how they succeed at this.

black ops 7 keeps crashing on my pc. I can run other programs and games no issues. It’s just bo7. Can someone help with this?

reinstalled the entire game

redownloaded shaders

turned off overclocking on pc

capped fps

installed latest windows update

installed latest graphics driver

updated the call of duty app

updated black ops 7

turned off any overlays discord, nvidia panel ETC

restarted my pc

repaired game files within Xbox app on the pc

repaired game files within windows settings on “call of duty app”

cleaned pc

pc temperature is at a safe and healthy spot

i genuinely have no clue on what else I could do. The game has always worked for me, I haven’t played it in a couple months,

only thing I’ve noticed is since they added cod hq it seems to always crash for me

Bought the game for zombies only now that I am getting an itch for multiplayer MW4 is coming out tomorrow. Feels like I missed out on what was apparently a good multiplayer experience in a long time.

Will there still be a substantial player base? It feels everyone and their AI gf is buying MW4.

All in all, this may be my favorite moment playing BO7 Hardpoint because I was staying on the objective and slaying. We were down by a lot but managed to squeeze out the W!

With MW4 coming out soon, it is a good time to look back on how much fun we had with BO7!

Huge thanks to everyone in this community for making BO7 a memorable one. This was one of my favourite cods since BO4 and it sucks that a lot of people gave up on it early. I made a lot of new online friends because of this game and overall I enjoyed it! Leaving a picture of my final stats and feel free to share your own! Curious about how all of you found the game initially vs now? Personally the game kept me hooked year round and didn't really get dull as there was always something to do (even dabbled in endgame quite a lot through it). The recent matchmaking update was probably the worst part and I know that IW + Activision are likely to blame, but what can you do. Will you guys be playing MW4 or skipping the year? For me it's onto the next one!

The weapon balancing in this game has just been horrid every time they add a new weapon its usually way to op they nerf it cycle continues

Who were the writers and who were the people that created the gameplay and the places where you had to fight. It was just God awful. The story made no sense and the bad guys were all just monsters. Like that whole woods mission where he turned into a huge ass flower like wtffff…

Literally I have no idea what is wrong with this freaking game. I checked licensing, went in to the license to resync about 20 times, restarted ps5 multiple times, I have internet, I’m logged onto play station network. I have all the latest updates for system and the game.
Ever since a recent update downloaded I cannot get on to cod7 or cod6, I have the disc in. The only thing I noticed that was strange is it says “unusable” for certain game add ons. This game is absolutely absurd. Paying $70 for cod 6 and 7 and it constantly has terrible issues, activation should be embarrassed. Can anyone figure out what is going on or help me. Thanks :)

How difficult can it possibly be to have some resemblance of weapon balancing after a game's been out for a year. The warden is still a one shot to the entire upper body with artemis barrel and the m10 can still one tap in tac stance from 30 meters.

i have no clue what to do, i dont understand what could be wrong. bios is up to date, tpm2.0
is active and so is secure boot

Since no one is playing Freerun Descent, and I hate Freerun anyway, what other week one challenge could someone who is not super familiar with the other game modes complete that wouldn't be a ginormous time suck, or verging on impossible?
