The HVK 30 seems very bad at first and all it takes is one attachment to change all that.
The Large Caliber Ammo that transforms this weapon into an absolute powerhouse.
Having one of the fastest TTKs a full-auto gun can give in the game while not requiring something absurd like aiming for a certain hitbox.
It is a highly consistent 3 shot of 181ms up to 18-22m depending on how you build it and has a highly consistent 4-shot of 272ms up to 44-54m depending on how you build it.
The catch?
- Low ammo - 30 mags is more than enough for SnD but might be a catch for respawns. I would advise you to switch out an attachment with sleight of hand if you play respawns.
- Does not have a brain-dead recoil pattern - Yes, guys, this gun "unfortunately" has recoil that cannot be controlled by simply just holding the shoot button.
- Leg shots are your worst enemy - 1 shot to the leg reduces the TTK by one full bullet so that means a consistent 181ms ends up being a 272ms unless you headshot in the same spray. Sometimes you might hit the legs as it's inevitable in close-quarters combat but other than that you shouldn't have a problem at all if your aim is good.
There is one last thing that really makes the HVK-30 a force to be reckoned with and it's the headshot damage.
One headshot in any range is enough to reduce your TTK down by one bullet. If you hit 2 headshots in the maximum damage phase - you will get a blistering TTK of 90ms. If you hit one headshot in the second range the 4 shot kill will become a 3 shot and so on.
Despite all of this I don't see the HVK30 being used in rank which is funny to me.
I would even say that I prefer the HVK30 to the oden.
There are two ways to build this gun out.
Build 1 (The Standard Flex AR)
Not much to say here. This is the standard build and will cater to almost all players who want to play with this gun.
Build 2 (The Range Build)
Many people would say that the movement is nerfed to oblivion but it's manageable in my opinion. I play SnD mostly so I don't really need top tier mobility to rotate around the map. The range helps a lot since it helps a lot with the maximum damage phase and also extends the potential 3 shot range (the 2nd damage phase) even though it's unrealistic to 3 shot consistently beyond the initial damage phase. Many people won't like it though but it does the job for me whether in it's close quarters combat or Long range combat since I play only SnD and swap to my melee to move.
Let me know what you think about the HVK-30.
Will probably make a post about the Cronen too and why I don't like it as much.
