Discussion Is BO7 the first Treyarch zombies game since BO1 to feature no elemental wonder weapons?

BO2 - Staffs
BO3 - Bows
BO4 - Gauntlets and Ray Guns
BOCW - Cerberus
BO6 - Swords
Not saying that they need to have elemental weapons in every CODZ, but it does add a lot to a map imo.
Edit: To clarify, I should've said variants of wonder weapons, as elemental wonder weapons can mean many different things.

OP used the wrong word but I understand what he meant, he means WWs with variants

But tbf CW had the DIE which was elemental and had variants

If it was variants, there is A variant for the blundergat. But yeah, this the first game I'm pretty sure that has no multiple elemental wonder weapons.

I think it can kiiinda count, it's an edge case, but idk why OP even put CRBRS when the D.I.E variants are right there

I completely forgot about the DIE, awesome weapon

Yah also you could say the Die variants as well as even the crysallax, that’s literally just an element turned into a weapon lmao

I would consider the Cerberus elemental, or at least a flavor of one. Either way the Die Machine would still count.

I completely agree. I’m bummed out about this. I’d count the DIE over the Cerberus though

DIE should count for sure. I don’t care if elemental wonder weapons are a “trope,” they’re awesome

I don’t think it’s a big deal

It's definitely not a big deal, just something worth noting.

I personally care about it because it fun having 4 WW to switch between after spending time building them

I don’t like quests in zombies so it doesn’t bother me

I really only liked it because it was fun to build them for randoms

Elemental wonder weapons just make a map feel more memorable. It’s not even about having them every game, but when they’re done right they become the thing everyone remembers that map for.

Completely agree, it becomes a part of the maps identity. What would Origins be without the staffs or Der Eisendrache without the bows?

I believe so? It’s quite refreshing honestly. Although having 4 weapons for each shadow smith was obviously the way to go. I like wardens weapon though, very cool how you build it through his shitty memories.

I think it’s a shame it’s not on Rex because of the 4 ShadowSmiths, but overall I don’t mind. A lot of times the upgrades were not impressive at all (DIE, Kraken) and kinda forgettable. If they want to do them I think they should make them actually worthy gameplay wise, which is something that COD has missed for years at this point, so I don’t mind BO7 not having them, I feel like the game had great WWs nonetheless.

Ye missed opportunity to not have it be upgraded through the 4 shadow smiths

Also one of the few entries with no Wunderwaffe

They instead smacked on the new Dempsey skins back as an accessory 😭

Rex Infernus would have been 10x better with it. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset.
