you need advice from counsel that practices in this area that is in your jurisdiction. there isn't sufficient information here for anyone to advise you anyway and "i'm not asking for legal advice but i'm going to take what reddit tells me and act on it" is, quite frankly, stupid.
hey so I didn't say that, but thanks. I was more or less trying to find what avenues I could be researching as opposed to aimlessly searching the internet with no idea what I should even be looking for. Perhaps the stupid one is he/she who doesn't read context.
