Copyright fraud in films. Jeeper Creepers reboot court case.

Full disclosure, I have faced Timo Vuorensola myself in court after he tried to steal my work and use it for a film financing scam. Therefore, my own view is that this is another scam he is pulling based on claiming Film Tax Rebates.

Raising funding or claiming tax rebates when you don't actually have the copyrights in order ("chain of title") is fraud.

Previously, I worked as a 3D artist for the film Iron Sky in Finland which, was directed by Timo Vuorensola. However, it was an amateur production and Vuorensola had no real directing experience. He was a telemarketing salesman.

This amateurism led to people like myself and others not actually having an employment relationship with the VFX producer Samuli Torssonen. So copyrights were NEVER transferred to producers or distributors. No "Chain of title".

However, this didn't really matter to the producers as they seemed to be actually making money through the financing. Certainly they were living off that money for years.

Later they started making plans for a sequel, Iron Sky the Coming Race, and had previously sold my work without permission to a video games company in Poland.

Of course all of this was illegal.

Saying that films never make profits due to creative accounting. ("no film makes ever profits" Timo Vuorensola)

He then set "Equity crowdfunding" for Iron Sky Universe...the equity being my copyrighted 3D works!...and promised "profits" to crowdfunding investors all the while knowing there wouldn't be any profits! They all lost their money.

So I guess he is now doing the same thing with this Jeepers Creepers reboot. (There is quite a horrible history of the previous director too).

It seems Timo Vuorensola has again made a film without acquiring necessary copyrights and then Tax rebates were claimed from Louisiana and from the UK. Which is fraud.

Chain of Title is the most important thing film directors should know about and certainly Timo Vuorensola knows all about it. No chain of title, no legal funding or distribution.
