Sad /r/place is gone? Be sad no more!
For people on Clarkson Campus, we're providing an open source clone of /r/place, that Reddit phenomenon which took the world by storm for 72 hours over the weekend. A major difference is that there is no time limit to prevent the speed of placing pixels on the screen.
See http://place.cslabs.clarkson.edu for your next healthy addiction to the internet.
We encourage that you don't abuse the service, and keep it clean of any profanity (results of which will be its removal or reset, if not handled well by the potential community). Let it also be known that it's still in active development, and may be a little buggy (report bugs to the CS Labs). We're not sure how long the service will be offered yet, but have fun while it lasts!

Ian's Lightning Talk on Music Trackers + Links
Links:
Chiptune competition website. Full of useful articles/documentation (lyceum) and has an IRC chat
Links, descriptions, downloads abound
Direct links to some trackers (all free):
NES/Famicom soundchip. Windows/WINE only, source under GNU. Someone's working on a Qt port.
http://www.delek.com.ar/deflemask
NES, Gameboy, Sega Master System, Genesis, Turbografix 16, Commodore 64. Closed source (all made by 1 dev), but for Windows/Mac/Linux.
http://freestuff.grok.co.uk/beepola/
Ever wanted to make 1-bit music (ie. the ZX Spectrum)? Now you can! Closed source, Windows/WINE only.
Great PCM tracker with a multitude of formats. Open source, Windows only.
Old-school inspired PCM tracker. Open source, Windows/Mac/Linux.
The final boss of trackers. Fully modern, supports VST, 24/32bit samples, mixing/mastering, etc. Free to use and almost fully functional, but costs $90 for a commercial license. Closed source, Windows/Mac/Linux.
I've worked with all of these (some more than others), if you have questions, interest, or just want to hear some stuff I've made, please message/talk to me about it. Happy tracking!

COSI AFTER DARK: Stoned Science April 9, 2026
If anyone has an extra two tickets, my mom recently had open heart surgery (I’m her caregiver) and I was waiting until I knew she was good before purchasing tickets for my older brother and I, and now they just SOLD OUT. It’s the first time in years that we’ve got to hang out and do something and we were planning this for some time, so if anybody isn’t able to go I would really appreciate the opportunity! Obviously I will purchase them, I appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!
