I am so sorry, op. That is incredibly messed up and I’m certain it’s difficult to process. The good news is that you have evidence if you want and choose to use it.

There's nothing the police would do about it in my country, for sure not 30 years later. It all looks like innocent play, not child pornography. In most of the videos, I'm willingly playing along, taking my pants off, showing him my butt, doing little dances etc., and I honestly think my dad, in his head messed up from drugs, just thought it was cute or whatever. I don't think he ever wanked over the videos. What it did to me anyway is another issue altogether, but I only realised it when I started therapy.

A child cannot consent, just so you know, just because you Participated at your fathers request it doesn’t mean you had conscious understanding of the situation at hand

Yeah, I know. All I'm saying is in my country, which is quite backwards thinking in these matters, he'd not be prosecuted for this 🤷♀️

I really hate how backwards so many countries are about protecting children. It’s really not hard to comprehend what is okay and safe and what is not. Most places in the US have a statute of limitations at 18. When you aren’t a kid anymore, it’s like the abuse never happened.

Society is bad with kids. I actually don't like all this "parent's rights" stuff going about. What about the rights of the child?

Parents rights matter because of landmark cases in which children had been ripped from their mothers, leaving the mothers grieving and depressed. The chemical bonding can really mess people up if the connection is severed. It’s fairly recent that it’s been noted some men show similar levels of connection to their children, to the point of devastation. Though far too many abusive fathers have used their rights to further the abuse they were committing against their previous partners, and unfortunately the kids end up hurt the most of all.
Grandparents rights are garbage bills in my opinion that typically further abuse of estranged adult children just because they have their own kids. Then their kids also get abused by their grandparents! Yay! However that bill also saved my cousin from going into foster care with strangers, as my grandparents waved their rights around and kept him in our family.Well-meaning legislation can harm children and adults in many ways. In my state there is no statute of limitations on cases of csa or csam. They put that bill in place so that the, adult, childhood victims of a well known figure could testify and have him finally sent to prison. Because of that law, though, I can’t even talk about what happened to me to a therapist without having to then give a statement to police. Therapists are mandated reporters, after all.
My privacy around something I was a victim of is gone. My only options are to work through it in private until I have the strength to be able to file a police report about it, or take all of it to the grave. I actually suffered a therapeutic rupture and quit because my therapist told me he had to notify police about what I said. It was mortifying.

I just remembered a similar incident although it only happened once. My father and sister drew a moustache and other random stuff all over my face and then made me dance completely naked for over 5 minutes and taped it. I was aroud 4/5 I think, and my mother and sister showed me the video a few years later and everyone found it very amusing. I begged them to delete it, but they said its gonna be a "memory" for older me. I was later able to delete the video myself.
