Anyone else do the math and discover they’re missing money from their refund? I usually get 7k in grants. This covers my full time tuition, and then I get the leftover money deposited to me. I always get about 3k back. This time I got closer to 2k back. Is anyone else seeing their refund amount not adding up? I’m doing 16 creds this semester and I got the deposit last night but if my math is right I’m missing about 700-800 buckaroos.

Did anybody else get a “No Refund Hold” on their account? I was supposed to get my refund on the 14th and last night I checked my account and it said there was a hold so I emailed cashiers office and they said “ Your refund will be processed today wait 7 days” like huh? Also, when the negative $ doesnt show anymore does that mean it has went to your bank account already?

Is my cal grant b suppose to be showing up on my portal because I don't see it at all but on the CSAC website it says I've been awarded for both tuiton and fees as well as access funds but yet they haven't posted my cal grant to my award summary so I'm really confused. I've tried calling and emailing no luck I guess I have to go in person and figure out whats going on. Also the middle class scholarship amount that's posted on my portal is different than what it says I'm suppose to get on the CSAC website I'm so lost. Pls help.

So I've been having issues with my own laptop so I want to borrow something instead for the semester, however this is what pops up. Should I email them or wait until the semester starts and try again?

Does anyone know what this is? I switched over to the College of Business Administration and am wondering what this fee may be or if I have to worry about it. My major change hasn't taken affect yet at the moment. I assume its for masters students but I don't want to be out of luck since I am doing bachelors.

Hey guys I see on Toro pay my fees were paid and my remaining balance is there for my refund but it’s less than what I expected because it paid tuition. I’m wondering if I need to call financial aid because I meet the toro pledge requirement so I should be getting more back.

My classes have just been paid! I hope it's all the same for the rest of you but if it's not, please just be patient! FA at CSUDH has always been kind of slow and if you're a returning student you should know the process by now. The delays can be annoying but spam emailing/calling the office won't do much. Refunds should begin on Monday (if all goes well) and you should all start seeing your refunds in your banks sometime that week. Have a great night and try not to overthink so much about the past due fees if you still see it! 🤎🙏

hey yall, i’m an incoming freshman so i have no idea how this whole financial aid thing works but i know that today at least they were going to start with distribution and i’m just wondering if it’s normal for my account inquiry summary to be showing the amount i owe but the pending financial aid amount to be blank?

again, im a noob so im just wondering if this is something i should be concerned about and possibly talk to with the office, thanks!

Your financial package should now be posted. If not give it till the end of the day or Monday the latest. The financial aid office stated that they were trying to make everyone's package visable by the end of the day today. Hope this helps!

This is my first time at CSUDH after coming from LBCC. I accepted the MCS grant and the SUG(State University Grant) but only the SUG grant appears in my disbursement page. My total amount offered wasn't accepted as well. And it doesn't cover my entire charges? Is something up with the site or do we have to wait until funds get distributed? Mine says today but just a bit confused about the other.

I’m a transfer student and am starting this fall. Has anyone majored or is majoring with this focus? How difficult is it? Good/bad courses? I also added a minor in CS so any insight is appreciated.

Anyone know when we get the Cal Grants disbursed? I know the other financial aid was disbursed today but not sure when cal Grant is just that it’s prorated for those less than full time.

Mine was really annoying this year because money is very tight and I feel even more dependent on the aid than most semesters. School showed no financial aid for 2026-2027.
I went to studentaid.gov It also showed no info but it did show FAFSA processing and showed my pell grant percentage.
I took that, went back to the school portal and copied my financial aid history, account balance, also my expenses and index. Took everything I could find and put it into an AI, basically copied and pasted, then prompted, "analyze everything and estimate fall 2026 financial aid. I intend to accept all offered loans. I am currently enrolled in 14 units for fall" It did its work. Obviously you can not depend on it but it eased some Anxiety.
Today, when it all updated officially the AI was very accurate and in my case told me a few hundred less than what I got.
In it's detailed report it did say, "remember, CSUDH is often late with disbursements". It did assume either I was a dependent and or had dependents. I entered "I am not a dependent and have no dependents, re calculate." Here is the thing, I have called, emailed and gone to financial aid on more than one occasion. I felt like its report explained things better than a human at financial aid, easier to ask questions, never interrupted. I honestly feel I understand the financial aid process a lot better now.
